Re: 2011 bridled kites (finally) without pulleys?

Looks like kite designers are taking stuff out of kites to improve performance: less pulley's and less struts. Seen a lot of 3 strut kites get really good reviews in terms of their wave riding ability and & stability in the air. I ride Royal Solo's and definately prefer not having pulleys. Direct at...

Re: Core GTS in Action

Not sure about their kites because I have never ridden them but I have the Core bar an I have to say that it's a great piece of gear. It is color coded....... just not standard Red / left and blue / right. They use yellow / left and it seems to work because yellow = caution. Anyways, the bar has a g...

Re: Are there any waist harnesses for someone with back prob

I've had on/off back issues for about 5 years. I recently switched from a waist harness to the Dakine Sonic. So far it's been a big improvement in how I feel after a session. Less back pain and I feel unrestricted on the water like I did with the waist harness. My my last few sessions with a waist h...

Re: Muscle spasm between L2/L3, how to get rid of it?Stretching?

ISounds like he's been to a Dr. - usually the only way to get a MRI is through a Dr referral. I had some similar back issues including sciatica down my leg from back spasm and a disc protrusion. Strenghening my core was what worked for me. Read this article & you might be able to find a gym that has...

Re: Is there a swivel out there that actually works?

You will probably have the best luck with the slingshot or ocean rodeo swivel. The corekites bar does not have a mickey mouse ears type swivel on the front lines but will unswivel every time. The swivel is below the bar and after a rotation you simply pull the bar in for power and everything unswive...

Re: Ocean Rodeo raises the bar to a whole new level

What type of swivel is being used to keep the front lines from twisting? Do you find yourself getting front line twists after multiple rotations / backrolls? Cheers man! I've been out with a prototype 42-49 bar a couple of times now and all feels good, solid and comfortable. I also noticed how littl...

Re: Bar Search: fully spinning leash AND eject to center line?

If you wanted to depower it to one front line all you would have to do is tie off a front line to a small ring and attach the mini 5th to the small ring. Someone could get hurt if they tried that. If you did that, the ring would never make it past the sleeves for the mini 5th that are on the riggin...

Re: Bar Search: fully spinning leash AND eject to center line?

I have the Core ESP bar and I've had bars from RRD, Best, Royal, Naish, Litewave and North and so far nothing comes close to the Core bar. It be used with a long 5th line or mini 5th that depowers via both front lines. It's adjustable and can go from wide to short in 15 seconds. The saftey is push a...

Re: Bridles with no pulleys?

royal solo has no pullies and is a good wave kite. Very well build and durable IMHO. Windwing has the rampage 2? similar kite with no pullies. WW advertises it as a 1 kite quiver w big range. Never rode the WW, but the Royal's have great low end and plenty of range. If only Royal would make a 10.5 s...

Re: Nice 5line bar

Kitezilla- I'm in USA and have one of those bars. You can order from Core and they ship it to you in 3-4 days. I bought a used one from them. It's a great set up because it can adjust from 53cm to 43cm length and it only takes 15 seconds to go from wide bar to narrow bar. The micro loop is a matter ...
