Re: Royal Solo or HT2

I used to ride the hyertype I's and from what I understand the Hyper 2's were pretty similar. Now I have a 9 / 13 quiver of Royal Solo's. I would say the Solo 13 is a little better than the Hyper 12 but no way near the Hyper 15. The Hyper 15 was a absolute light wind monster. If your looking for low...

Re: Westuit instead of a Dry suit

I live in New Endland have both - a 5/3 prolimit and a Ocean Rodeo drysuit. The drysuit gives you the advantage of layering underneath for the really cold days. The drysuit is also easier to get in and out of and your feel a lot warmer changing in the parking lot. If you go with a 5/3 or 6/4 wetsuit...

Re: for underground FLX riders

I'm riding a 05 128 and use it as a one board quiver - have been out in 40mph and the board still holds and tracks well. I'm around 80kg ~ 170lb and looking to upgrade to to a new FLX. Does the 135 start to feel too big when the wind picks up to 8/9m conditions (25+mph)? Just wondering if the 132 or...

Re: Royal

Von Belka- pretty much do what Toast said. From what I have noticed, the kite turns a bit quicker and gives you quicker steering. I have a 9 and 13 and did the mod on the 13 and liked it. Did not notice anything funky in the way the kite behaves. The 13 is fast enough and I ride it stock. The whole ...

Re: Royal

I have a solo 9 and 11 and really like them. I weigh 165 and can use my 13 with my 135x47 light wind killer board in 12-15 mph and go upwind and have fun. I have had the 9 out in 18-32mph winds. The Solo is really good for wakestyle riding, unhooked, and is mind blowing in the waves on a surfboard. ...

Re: Naish 09 bar reviews?

I just picked up this bar for my kites and it unswivels everything. You can do 100 rotations in the same direction and no tangles. I had bars with the mickey mouse swivel and they stop working after a while.

Re: Stability of kites when fixed point launching landing?

i have used both fixed objects and removable anchors (stakes). There is a lot more security using a fixed object such as a lifeguard chair, concrete block or your vehicle. Stakes and sand bags can be pulled around or out of the ground. This method should works best on SLE kites. When launching you s...

Re: Core Kite Combat GT

Question... I have a North Rhino 2008 that can be flown on 4 lines instead of 5. I was told not ot use the EVO bar since it grabs the 2 front lines (a bit like the F-One Bandit). Does the Core bar pull on both front klines or only one? I read that the Rhino had to be flown on a bar with the safety ...

Re: Core Kite Combat GT

Is the bar, the chicken loop, and the line system shown in this link, the newest version?: that looks like the most recent version of the bar they offer and similar to the one I have http://silver-mare.de/corecombatgt.aspx It looks like the bar has the North-style micro-loop, but I don't see the hoo...
