They are great kites. You should be looking for a 12m, unless you live in a very windy place.

Tell your friend you'll buy the kite if he gives you lessons with it.

Re: Just bought my first set up...

So if I had more experience would this kite still be useful? Or do you guys think it's totally worthless because it will always be a danger for someone my size? if you live in an area with light wind you will appreciate this kite when you have more experience I totally disagree, this kite will do n...

Re: Nitro 4 vs Cabrinha Switchblade

I think that is the biggest difference, the switchblade is a pretty straightforward bow kite that is designed to just be super easy to ride. In light wind especially, you can just sheet and go. The nitro is a little higher aspect and flies through the window quicker, so you can fly the kite and not ...

Re: Just bought my first set up...

Where do you live? Someone might be nice enough to offer a free lesson to explain the basics, so at least you don't die while trying to learn. Even then, it's going to be very difficult trying to learn on your own. All the risks aside, learning to kite sucks, even with lessons. I suppose it could pr...

Re: Fuel 9m2 + Rally ?m2

I felt like the fuel 9m was pretty normal for a 9m. 7m rally would probably be fine

Re: When is the right time to buy a C-Kite?

the range might be the same, especially depower but in lower wind bridles just go easier and jump higher. when the wind kicks in c kite is master. when the wind is low you see c kiters struggle. not really. my 13m fuel (2013) had better low end than any 12m bridled kite ive owned. my 12m p-series w...

Re: Strutless Kite Modifying

One of my friends has a 1st gen cloud 17m that flies a little to one side due to the canopy stretching, if you'd rather buy one to repair. rather than tearing apart an older kite.

Re: When is the right time to buy a C-Kite?

ive been kiting about 4 years, rode c kites roughly half of that my opinion now is that it's not a big deal. there are only two benefits to riding a c-kite, slack after popping unhooked, and consistent looping performance. there still isn't a bridled kite that can be a C for those characteristics. w...

Re: Straps or strapless

I think strapless riding is largely viewed as the only "legit" way to ride a surfboard. I kind of agree with this, but for the purposes of just general riding and having fun, it depends a lot on the conditions. Strapless is fun because of the freedom you have to put your feet wherever you want, and ...

Re: Some Kiteloop question

theres so much confusing talk in this thread just learn it when you're not very powered on your kite, they are very easy and safe if you don't have a lot of power. just send the kite like a jump. on your way up pull really hard with back hand until the kite loops. sheet out and land. if you go out p...
