Re: Moses 2019-2020

I don't find 483 that bad. I have mast 101, with 683 and 483. I am curious about the test of 450 and 425. the latter seems impossible to find? compared to other stabilisers, the 483 dampens the liveliness and speed of the ride given on the 683/679 and the 633. I suppose everything is personal taste...

Re: Moses foil wings for Windwing foiling

Moses foil wings for Windwing and SUP foiling. I have 1100, 873 and 790 all ok but I want more. Maybe a version of the 790 or about 1800 sq cm HA. What do others think? yep, I second that, 1100 is just too big and 790 needs too much wind if your heavy 1800cm2 would be nice I have been thinking abou...

Re: Moses w800

Day 2 = 2 thumbs up Replaces my need for 633/surf fuse. I attempted to mount the 483 on the kite fuse for similar comparison, no go. Wasn't able to push it for top end with the given conditions. Seemed quite happy in the low-upper teens. Much easier to jump vs 633. Way easier to tack vs 590. Surpri...

Re: shimming Moses 633

Shimming works but inherently introduces a bit of turbulence as the stabilizer counters the front wing lift harder. Generally better to try to get your weight further forward with adjustment or a different board. Isn't it less friction and less force that counters the main wing lift? Assuming you a...

I had an awesome session yesterday on the Peak4 4 meter in knee-high waves. The 4 meter makes the 5 look tame.

I probably ought to buy the 3m...

The 3m is more exciting than the 4m and my favourite really.

Is the Moses 483 stabaliser solid carbon or has some foam?
I have 2 and thinking of modifying one so any advice please.

almost certain that the 483 would have a foam core given its light weight.

I attempted peelply finish without vacuum on top of the board as mentioned on this thread, but got these bubbles. I ironed the peelply beforehand. What causes these? Possible to eliminate these without vacuum?
peel ply needs to be pulled tight . . .

Re: Moses 425 stab - very good

This looks pretty much the same...I bet the 421 is the newer version.... Gunnar said 421 almost like 420, which has shorter chord. I loved 695/420 combination that I rode in January and I was persuaded the race stabilizers kick ass and make 325/330 just unnecessary, even for use with freeride wings...

Re: Flysurfer Peak4 in 5 m2, truly stoked

15-17 - is too much even for 100kg - thus flapping. If it flaps you are on too big kite. Simple as that - thats why you need more sizes than "normal" kite, even though i prefer be on sweetspot on normal kite too /more sizes/. Reason for this is peak canopy cannot maintain integrity with too low AOA...

I have 718 + 425. Have also competed with these last weekend. very good at upwind and magic on downwind. it was a light wind and as a heavy kiter, this is my new first set-up. 👍👍🏾👍👍🏾👍👍🏾
720 and 420 is nice also if you have a surf fuse
