Re: Beginner kite- Core XR5 or Naish Pivot

If you want to jump and learn hooked-in tricks you need to forget about the seat harness and get a hardshell or, of you’re fit, look at softshell. But you need a waist harness. Seats are good for learning but you’ll grow out of it in no time if you’re kiting regularly. I disagree that you have to h...

Re: Naish Foiling 2018

No I have the LF impulse. Nice to hear you are using a larger foil with it, the other concern I had when I unpacked it was how far forward the foil mounting rails seem to be... might just look that way because the board is narrower than my old one... AH I have not tried it. I think the construction...

Can anyone report on or know of any good reviews for the 2019 Slash?

New colours look awesome but would like to know how it handles.
Maybe we should make another thread for it? I think there is a huge improvement....and yea it looks spectacular.

Re: Small Kites who is making them?

Naish makes the boxer in 3.5m and the rest of the kites from 4m.

Re: Naish Slash 2018 vr Naish Slash 2019

YES!!!! So I finally yielded to pressure...ok not really pressure, but Dirk here told me to get a slash. So last year I got one and absolutely loved it. Insanely good for waves, great jumper and super fun foiling kite. It was just soooo smooth. This year I think they have several significant upgrade...

Re: Naish Foiling 2018

Taut how do you like the hover 130? I just received mine and the weight of it surprised me... Did you mean it feels solid? ;-) Yeah it has some weight to it. I like it a lot. My foundation for comparison is thin but my experience with the board has been very positive. It is large enough to bounce m...

Re: Naish Ride vs Dash

Hey, thank you all for replies :) One another question - if I decide to take Dash (9m), which bar should I choose (does it matter)? I still have old Naish 2013 Universal Bar 2013 - would it work as a backup bar with new Dash 2019? I was using this one with Park 7,9,12 and worked perfectly. Yeah the...

Re: Beginner kite- Core XR5 or Naish Pivot

@ tautologies. Do you fly the bigger Pivots, 10, 12, 14m and how do you characterize the bar pressure on these sizes? Thanks Yes. I have flown the new 11. In the past, I have flown all of them, and 10, 11 and 14 (barely) last year. The bar feel and pressure is similar across sizes IMO. It depends a...

Re: Beginner kite- Core XR5 or Naish Pivot

My comment was directed at bradleygood and I agree with you, it’s not always straight forward buying used gear and yes, there is more risk you’ll get a dud. I’ve had friends get their instructor involved and I’ve helped out a few newbies myself. It’s not complicated, you just have to make sure you ...
