Re: Washing foil double skin kites

You can roll up and store a wet kite as long as you expect to use it soon ..which will dry it. Don't store a wet kite for long periods or mildew can grow. Mildew...

Re: Triton Foils releases the first accessible monowing: Triton T1

Foiling foot switches are a bit more difficult with the T1 because it is less pitch stable. But you will master it and it forces you to improve your technique.

Re: Minimalistic Harness

Dakine and Ion and others make nice shorts harnesses that are much less bulky for travelling than regular harnesses. And the centre of pull is lower which works well for hydrofoiling.

Re: Harnesses with replaceable webbing?

Any shoe repair shop can sew through thick fabric for you. Or get one of these from Amazon, a very useful tool that comes with sewing instructions.

Re: Free apple watch app for kiteboarding: Hoolan

I believe the Apple Watch has an accelerometer and distance can be calculated from acceleration. It recorded 2.1 meters for my jump and that’s about right (it was very light wind).
I presume that all jump height devices (like woo) use this technique.

Free apple watch app for kiteboarding: Hoolan

There is a new free apple watch app for kiteboarding and winging. It is called Hoolan and available on the apple app store. I recorded my session yesterday and it seamlessly paired with my iphone after I returned to shore (I didn't take my iphone on the water). Overall I am very impressed. It has a ...

Re: Knot in my lines

I have removed many knots from kite lines at our local kite store. It rarely takes me more than two minutes. My preferred method is to use long nose pliers that have enough texture in the jaws to grab and pull a section of line away from the knot. If you don't have pliers you can use a sharp needle ...

Re: Pocket board for strapless and jumping with straps .

The Naish Hover is a good option for a small board with strap inserts. I have been happy with mine and I found it very durable.
