Re: Atlantic Kite Challenge underway .

You can track the riders live progress here , think they might be heading for a sesh in Capetown first ! http://enablepassion.com/live-tracking/ Sure looks that way, must not have a westerly wind right now. I'm hoping they head west soon as I will be in the Turks early December and hope to see them...

Re: The Greatest Kite Pump and Auto Launcher!

I agree with Clew In...September probably won't be a good time to kite but it is a great time to be in TCI...no crowds and better deals on accommodations. RWI (Royal West Indies) is probably one of the best/affordable places to stay on Grace Bay yet it is situated a little far from the shopping and...

I am not certain what this place would run you for a week even if you could rent it.

I think that place has a draw bridge you have to cross to get to it. Its on the south side.

Re: The Greatest Kite Pump and Auto Launcher!

Hey Clew In How has the weather/wind been? is December typically a good month for wind on long bay in your experience? I've been going to Provo for 6 years in early December, heading down again on the 11/30 for two weeks. I have averaged about 5-8 kiting days per trip. I would go later in the winte...

Re: Slingshot + Atlantic Kite Challenge

I'll be visiting the Turks and Caicos early in December thru the 13th and hoping they arrive while I'm there. Would be fun to ride out and meet them as they finish. Anyone else traveling to TCI in December?

Re: Watermans Retreat at Real in Hatters???

Both Real and KH have nice rooms and nice shops. I definitely prefer the launch at Real, it has a nice big grassy area and it is right by the slick. At KH, the buildings and the sea wall make for an interesting launch site, but at least they have it open to the public. KT KH is also a nice place to...

Re: Looking for Reviews --> Airush Lithium 2013 (esp. 10/14

running the 14m in 25 knots down to 18-19 knots around mid-day. The 14 does get a bit hard to handle around 25 knots and tops out. that's a lot of wind for the 14 in the UK!! whoa... I top it out at around 17kts @80kg... do you not find it more fun using a smaller kite than a larger kite? I'd also ...

Re: Looking for Reviews --> Airush Lithium 2013 (esp. 10/14

Can anyone compare the low end of a 2013 Lithium 10 vs. a 2011 LF Havoc 12? Thinking of replacing the Havoc and I have read that the Lithium 10 has good low end, I wonder if it equals the Havoc's. Anyone flown both? I'm 185 lbs. I have a 2012 Lithium 14 LW which has great low end and good hangtime.

Re: Warning: if you try sliding hook you will never go back.

I have a new Dynabar on loan I'm going to try. The red ball quick release is a cause of alarm for me though. It is seems difficult to reboot unless I'm missing something and I'm afraid if a loose line wraps around it, it could pre-release. I understand the need for safety but all bars have QRs so wh...
