Fin size

I've ordered up a new surfboard. It comes naked. So I need to get some fins. It will be a quad set up. And I'm going more for speed control, so will be flat foil...etc Anyways, I was just going to go with a medium size, but I realize that I'm not sure whether I should be going bigger or smaller. In ...

Re: Don't show us your hook

FYI. I picked up a harken low friction ring at my local sail shop. Cost was like 30 $ Canadian without tax. The size is 20mm and 14mm thick. IMG_7649.JPG It is incredibly smooth, as smooth as a pulley I would say. I actually would prefer a little resistance as its slides across. Purpose of using the...

Re: DSD Stallion 5'4 - anyone rode it?

As I understand the stallion is more like the Vader. Both boards have lot of rocker. I've never used a vanguard, but more than one person has told me it's bouncy in chop, so it was immediately a no go for me and my bad knee. But I have tried a Vader 5 3, which was set up as a thruster and I was impr...

Re: DSD Stallion 5'4 - anyone rode it?

I rode my buddies 5 2 the other day, lake chop and small waves, 25-35 kts (a couple of gusts into the 40s) Holy moly, I have to say I was really impressed with board. I have a bad knee so I'm sensitive to a board the bounces through chop, but this board was the boss. I think it's the smoothest surfb...

Re: where can I get Dyneema ribbon/webbing (like Airush load Frame)

I don't know where you can get it, but the material is called Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE, UHMW) so search for that. I can't help but think that any webbing you find is going to be massively over specced for use in a harness. Thanks! this is exactly what I was looking for. My p...

where can I get Dyneema ribbon/webbing (like Airush load Frame)

Hi Guys,

I'm building my own harness and looking for some super light and strong webbing I can sew myself.

Anyone know where I can get the type of Dyneema ribbon/webbing used the airush kites (used for the load frame)?

Aramid could work too.

Thanks

Re: Gopro studio - driving me crazy

Sorry for the late reply. (pretty late, but I've been working) Ok I'm officially getting nowhere with Gopro, I have to change my video editing software. I would use iMovie, but the big problem is I can't seem to rotate the original footage so I'm not upside down half the time. :angryfire: any soluti...

Gopro studio - driving me crazy

I'm working on a new kite video, and to date I've used Gopro studio to edit. However, I've somehow only realized that the quality of the video deteriorates when I convert the original video from the .mp4 file to the .avi file for editing. I've been trading emails with gopro client servicing that say...
