Re: North Rebel 2010 Photos

So who has seen the colors... Blue and orange or black and White? I tend to opt for the blue and orange, its easier to see on the water and on the snow...but the white seems nice. North always does more colors than on their website (like red and black in 2009). Any clue if they will have others? tha...

Re: North Rebel 2010 Photos

Jomoj... This is a surprising strategy from that retailer. Putting used North on the market makes more people ride them. For instance, I bought 8 North kites in 2 years and a half and sold 5 of them. The people who bought my used kites were very happy to get them with a saving of 25-40% guess what? ...

Re: North Rebel 2010 Photos

The problem is when you pop 2000$ a kite (3 kite quiver-do the math), you want some resale value. North did go away with the center strut on the rhino with success , incorporated the one pump on the rhino again, a nice system with ties that do not require tools for ''On the beach'' repairs. That one...

Re: North Evo

9 is always the best size for every kite of every manufacturer. Keep th nine in there. Sorry I dunno about the 6. Even North rates the 7 only to 37 knots. If those winter days do not drop below 20 knots I think you will have a much safer kite with the 6. Will it be more of a bee than a 7?

Re: North Rebel X any info out there?

Concept: You still believe in what North has to say about their design? They had a good case to take out the center strut about weight and tougher material so now what? Thin material to keep the one pump but come back with the center strut? Sorry they went down in my list bought 5 kites from them, n...

Re: North Rebel 2010 Info

Oh well I guess i will have to wait till 2012 then, won't be able to sell my 09 stuff since last year's pitch was total bogus. I don't understand they were going away from the middle strut in both, the Rhino and the Rebel... Oh well, will be fun to see the pictures anyways. There are still some 08 k...

Re: North Evo

BigJIM: I had this problem with the 15m 08 Evo. Ligt wind with gusts. 1) keeping it at 1 or 11 was a good recomendation. 2) watch out for that back line tension, make sure you keep some. If you release the bar suddenly when a gust comes by, the kite will overfly and fall off when the gust dies altho...

Re: Wainman Blunt 135...good for sasquatch sized riders or no???

Give Lee britain a call at Rogue waves, he will shape you a big fre-ride board so you won't have to try to ride a lightwind board in heavy stuf. You need bigger boards, not fit on a lightwind when it is howling... The prices are good too $700 to $895 (Canadian $$) depending on what you fit on it.......
