KSing and Calories

Anyone have an idea how many calories Kitesurfing burns? Its not comparable to surfing imo because surfing involves an enormous amount of swimming relative to KSing. On the flip side, the adrenaline from KSing has got to burn alot given the extended amount of time my heart is pumping. I'm curious if...

Re: Need suggestions for first kite/quiver

Ok, well I ended up back where I started, bought a 16m/12m quiver of 2013 LF NRGs with a 2014 Best Breeze 145. Thanks to REAL Watersports for matching my original deal (they had to match various BF deals), they made it work. Thanks for the suggestions all, I am now looking forward to the new gear! D...

Re: Need suggestions for first kite/quiver

Exactly. They are meant for the two main rideable conditions we get here - average wind and fronts. No wind days are dead no matter what. I wont spend money to build up the quiver past 35 mph, too rare and dangerous. The wind here is generally 15-22mph OR we get a new front in and the wind meters sp...

Re: Need suggestions for first kite/quiver

Ok, well bad news, I lost the good deal on that 16m NRG. Was researching boards and someone bought the last one. So now the deals online are pushing me to one of two ways: a 2013 17m Best TS v2 Demo or 2013 OceanRodeo 17.5m new Switch Elementv2 13m or a 2013 15m LF Envy Switch Elementv2 11m I was ou...

Re: Need suggestions for first kite/quiver

Wow, you guys have given me great recommendations. The OR Flite 17.5 looks good but might be too much at my level tbh. Seems alot of people like it though. The Switch Element v2 looks like a good competitor to the LF Envy, especially if I go the quiver route. Price competes head on even with the dea...

Re: Need suggestions for first kite/quiver

I can demo kites but not these specifically as no one around here seems to have them. I still have to check a few more stores though and I may be able to find them by driving up north abit. Interesting, on here everyone seems to push for a really large kite (17m+), I was concerned I was over compens...

Need suggestions for first kite/quiver

Hi guys, I need help buying my first kite. After spending several weeks with my trainer kite and getting some lessons, I am getting close to being able to go out independently. With the BF specials showing up, I am eager to take advantage. Average Conditions: 10-25mph winds, seems to be either 10-20...
