Re: Wind "Black Holes"

We have "holes" in the wind at out local spot that are quite predictable. Most of the time they occur when the wind is below 15 knots, the day is warm and water a bit cool. No I'm not talking about "doming" either. The interesting thing is that there is no real significantly high obstruction down wi...

Re: The dreaded leak around the valve ??

Hmmm. Haven't had any issues with Aquaseal not curing. I've successfully patched several valves with it. I have flown the kite after 24 hours no problem. I put a weight around the valve for about 12 hrs after I have glued it with wax paper under the weight to prevent adhesion. All my valves that hav...

Re: transition help

Here is a tip. On any transition your board and body should follow the kite. Think of it like point your board where your kite is. On a slide transition, try the following slowly at first until you get the time 1. Start edging upwind hard. 2. At the same time slowly bring your kite to neutral. (12 o...

Re: Please reccomend booties, Thin good foot protection?

I always wear booties. Have a pair of Neil Pryde boots I got in 2006. Silent Sports sells this one that is equivalent to what I have. NP 2000 LC Round Boot 9 I have no problems getting into my straps with it and find that I can still feel the board well when I go on strapless surfboard. Some people...

Re: the dreaded leaky valve, how to fix??

Just peel off the valve and then make sure it is clean and roughed up a bit. Aquaseal on the valve and bl...

If not, in Canada here many airspace violations by the pilot. Good thing he knew what he was doing. What were the kiter and windsurfer's reacti...

Re: Bladder valves coming off from heat

I used gluefix (which i read is Aquaseal) to stick a valve back on and it failed miserably? Is it not ment for this? Do you need to keep pressue on it for the whole time its curing? Asking here as there is nothing on the kitefix site about it. Not sure if gluefix is aquaseal but I do keep pressure ...
