I must say - I think it is very stupid too ! We got paragliders and hanggliders, designed for this, and much better performing, and much safer and stronger in all aspects. 27 seconds is nothing, compared to these (world record "hang time" is over 24 hours...) - so why do it ? I have no problems that...

Default the AMP is delivered without bridles - but there are special bridle blocks mounted (with more feel on the bar), so one can get get a set of bridles and use it straight away. But as most don't use bridles, they have decided to deliver it without, normally. This goes for Takoon too, as far as ...

I don't get the point ? There IS no difference in a foil, and a paraglider (except for performance/trim, and small details). Neither has unlimited hangtime without lift, and both has unlimited hangtime if there is sufficient lift ! And LEI's could be used to have unlimited hangtime too, if there was...

Windgradient graphs

I made some graphs of the windgradient - that is how much the wind speed changes when going higher above the surface. These are the standard wind gradients, meaning how they are if the weather is "normal", without wind shear or layer/temp. effects of any kind. I've taken into account that the water ...

Only the wind power meter is of interest, regarding kitesurfing, strictly speaking. But because you usually kite in the same places, or nearby - a wind meter (anemometer) is just as good. And most of us will not experience the huge changes in air density - and if we do (travelling) - it can easily b...

Thanks KG. We have lots of wind farms at most of our surfspots, except near the city. This is just one particular spot, of many (not my home spot backyards, but only 15 miles away). I know the son-in-law of the windmill owner (who kitesurfs), and the owner too, but he has not had any luck with getti...

I don't know if anyone does - but it has been used a long time ago, for those who wanted a 2 line riding style (being able to grab the bar over full length), but still having the possibility to adjust the power with a trim/cleat, and gain the benefits of a 4 line kite that turns better. Its so simpl...

I think it is some subtle production differences (not really errors) that makes this happen. We have a Rhino2 12 and 14m2 here, that does the same thing - a fluttering sound (must come from the TE) when the kite is dived down (speeding up). And I remember having an Airblast proto in 2000, that did t...
