Re: 2nd Opinion on Liquid Force vs. North Boards

The Kaos and the Jaime are similar board but the Influence is more like the North Team. This was my choice and it's awesome. Great in straps and boots. If your just starting to unhook then I don't think it will matter what you choose for now but if you want to really get into wake style riding then ...

Re: kitesurfing with LOOONG lines

Many of us that started 10-15 years ago can tell you that we used to ride on 40m lines. I rode F-one Shadows for a few years. Started on 40m lines. The lines sag as stated above and all that sag creates drag forcing the kite downwind. On 30m lines, the kite is so much more reactive with much better ...

You just answered your own question. Why not just order it from Airush. Slingshot has this also that I know of.

Re: Making a place to tie my handle pass leash on my harness

Go to a West Marine or a hardware store and get some Spectra line rated at 700lbs or more and tie it to the 2 rings in the pic. Not too long but just tight enough for an inch or 2 of play after attached and on your body. Make sure you use a bowline knot to attach so as to not loosen up. (half hitche...

Re: Unhooking / Kite Question

Info: 80k UG Styx board 135x41cm 2009 SS 10RPM 1. Whats a good unhooking range for a 10m RPM? I was out in around 20kns unhooking last weekend and felt really over powered 2. I have a north kite and was wondering what size Vegas I should get for good unhooking sessions from 17-25kns (if I get a Veg...

Re: Kite lines not tight while launch- no control

The kite in the pic above is facing the wrong way. The kite should be facing into the wind, not down wind. Great way to get killed! I hope you just misdrew this. If this is the way you are trying to launch the kite then it's no wonder the lines are loose.

Re: Gold Fleet win for Dave Williams and Taboo 17m at Weymou

Congrats to Dave for his win but is this about the win or cleverly disguised as a Best pimp job. It mentions the Taboo more than the rider. @ 12-13 times. Any time there is a winner mentioned on this forum, it clearly doesn't mention the kite so many times.

Re: Ben Wilson Noise...

Looks very interesting. Can't wait to try it. The bar looks to be a near copy of SS but kind of expected it to. Is it made in the same factory as Epic? Looks like the one pump connections and the swivel below the bar are the same. Not that I really care but just an observation.
