Plumbers tape on screws

Hi,

This topic draw my attention: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2392436

Since we use a lot of screws in our foils (and they cost a lot), should we be using plumbers tape?

Is it hard to stay up on the board even if you are touching the water all the time?

Upwind learning question

Hi,

From what I've read, I should spend my first few sessions with the board touching the water.

My question is: When will I be able to turn upwind? Can it happen with the board touching the water or only later, when the board lifts up?

PS: I'll be learning on a short mast hydrofoil.

Re: Larger wings for larger guys.

Brands often have a big race wing and a smaller one, so to some extent the riders will just "change" size at a different wind speed, if different weights. 8) Peter Hi Peter, I am not thinking on race wings. I'm thinking on all beginners buying their first foil. They are being offered "freeride wing...

Larger wings for larger guys.

Hi,

Besides using larger boards, will we see larger guys using larger wings in the future?

Re: Smaler BRM clouds

Quick question... do most of you cloud owners ride surfboards and foils mostly? Or do any of you freeride on a TT and boost? If you boost for air, how do the smaller Clouds perform? I am a proud owner of 03 Clouds (17, 13 and 09). I haven't used much TT's since I bought my Clouds. On the few times ...

Re: Strutless Travel Quiver

I am thinking about putting together a new quiver of kites for travel. Am intrigued with the small pack down size of the new strutless kites. Does anybody have any hands on experience now of these kites in the small sizes? Thanx... Today I found something new about my Cloud that I REALLY loved. I h...
