diluted bleach dude then nutralise with dilted vinegar, Kite will look good as new Has anyone else tried this? Just saw another post where someone swore against using bleach. Granted, dilluted and then neutralized sounds better, still don't want to weaken anything. But, I can spot clean it so it wo...

Cleaning mildew from kite ?

Had my kite out 2 days ago in brackish water and I guess it wasn't salty enough to keep mildew away. Just unpacked it (was mostly dry when I packed it up on the beach) and found my first mildew stains. They are tea colored stains that don't wipe off with a wet rag. Is there any way to clean these st...

How much do replacement bladders cost? (SS if it matters)

Haven't had to buy them yet. Just curious. Weighing the effort of that repair, and hoping I do it correctly, to the cost of new bladders. Overpriced, no doubt...

Re: gettin fofted

Rollin totally agree on the QL thing. Especially with some shackles. Is there any QL system that you think will work at extreme loads? ...short of your knife that may take too long to withdraw and cut a line. It would have to be some mechanism where the force to pull the QL is a significant fractio...

How do you see your kite at night?

Full moon or did he attach glow sticks?

Just curious...seems way more interesting to me than glowing water which I've seen every time we sail at night in NC. :)

What kind of safety equipment could have helped at that last moment when Shannon was attempting to unhook? The new Slingshot Surefire Spreader bar comes to mind. No, in no way affiliated w/ SS, don't even own a kite yet! Just wondering if this system would release under load?? - can't tell from the ...

I'm about to buy my first kite. Total novice- but have had lessons and feel like its time for the purchase. At this point I'm thinking the Recon may be a little too complex (too much to muck with) for my first kite. Love the idea behind the system and have heard a wide range of opinions (and looking...

Can I really use my trainer for snowkiting?

Took a couple kiteboarding lessons, enjoyed them, decided to buy a trainer. I bought the Airush 3M trainer, in part, because kitemare told me I could use this for snowkiting in the winter. The other part, is that I live in Maryland and figured the bigger trainer would let me use it in light wind...w...
