Re: Torn knee ligament advice with kitesurfing

I separated my ACL and seriously damaged my MCL during a motocross accident 6 years ago. I've had the surgery and bought a custom fit brace from Ossur. (dont get the paradigm brace, it does not last in any amount of sand due to the geared hinges, get the CTI which does not have gears). After a year ...

Re: Landing Jumps on an Ozone Edge

Hi Buell, Actually I run nearly the same setup. North bar and 28m lines except I'm using Q power lines. Gives it more of a static pull. I'll agree that it changes the kite for the better if you're into big air and old school. I've never seen a 15 get to 11 meters high. Do you use a woo or xsensor? I...

Re: Landing Jumps on an Ozone Edge

I'm having some issues with big jumps over 11 meters with the 9m v8. No matter how much I fly it, still wants to rush back over my head before the landing. 10 meters and less it seems to stay in the zone. No problems when I'm on the 7 and higher than 11 meters but I suspect it's due to a faster and ...

Re: How many times a year is it too windy for your smallest

9 edge is my smallest and most used. Up to 30 knots on the new V8 (older one could reach 35). Got blown off the water 1 day last season in Mui Ne and a lots of days that were ridiculously powered. Planning on getting a 7 edge for those days and if its too windy for that..... I'll play with the train...

Re: Switch Nitro 4 : How to fix the long bridle issue ?

I have never had that happen but could see how that could easily happen if you are unhooking or crashing the kite with slack in lines. Like was said above, I would rather have the longer bridle and crisp feeling then pulleys or lack of depower from no bridle. As awesome as the Nitro is if your prio...

Re: Bucket List kite experiences

Lone Night kite during the peak of a meteor shower in August at new moon with phosphorescence thick in the ocean water. I finally got this session and I must say, till now it is the apex of all my sessions. Couldn't see the water at my feet but only the photo sensitive plankton leaving a bright trai...

Re: Kick spin

The board spins around one foot but not likely to flip or at least not controlled. You probably could control the release after it spins around the foot for a nice catch.

Re: How long do your TT boards last?

I got 2 years out of a Shinn Monk before it was broken in the garage and now 2 more years on another Monk which has been beaten into rocks and barnacle shores. Still strong and hoping to get another season from it.

Re: Kick spin

I just did this a couple days ago too. Caught it and realized it was in the perfect position for getting it back on but somehow I had one of those moments where I couldnt quite line up and it was a bit late for a clean landing. I think it would be difficult to replicate at will. I'd like to see it o...

Re: first time I tried backroll I did landed a backloop...

2 hands on the bar still confuses me sometimes when spinning. Try grabbing your board for more style with that free back hand. :thumb: Backroll and backloop are the same thing just called differently in some areas. You did a backroll with a kiteloop as I know it. Lots of tricks come by accident in t...
