Re: Light wind kiting boring? Not in SD

Great picture :thumb: But really curious now - any video to show the wave riding in this light wind and wavesize ? I ride waves a lot in extremely low wind, with an easy planing board and a power 12m2 (pulls like a typical 14m2 maybe), and have lots of fun too ín this. But my bottom turns are usuall...

Re: surfboard videos

You just put the rear foot at the center - just like if in the strap. But you can often slip your front foot out a bit to the windward side, just like one does when strapless.

Re: surfboard videos

Does anybody have a link to a video where a surfboard is ridden and there is a good shot of the leg position when going upwind? I ride a strapped quad, but 90 percent of the time my rear foot is out of the strap. The problem I have is that I want to maximize my upwind performance in very choppy con...

Re: Winter Wetsuit Search

I have no knowledge or experience with the "Geoprene" as Limestone Neoprene is called. But what is the percentage impermability of the typical sharkskin neoprene used in suits today ? Geoprene is quoted to be 98% (some says 95%). But what about typical neoprene used by the major companies, called X-...

Re: airush sector 60 2010 VS sector60 V2 2011

And for little wave 1meter max (3 foot) the best is v1 or v2 in size 60 bigger ? Thanks for all V1 is way better in small waves and a bit "easier" :thumb: But V2 looks much "better" regarding both light and upwind performance - as all here confirms :P So I think it is simply an individual choice wh...

Re: Kite vs Hang Glider!

The video is gone or at least the link doesn't work... How is that approaching from behind? If the glider is flying into the wind and the kiter is standing with his back to the wind... then he should be looking down the beach in the direction of the glider. You are right - it is not... The glider c...

Re: I cant fly my kites, please help me!

Oh - you got both :o The backstall is easy, simply a trim question - and you just have to make your rear lines (or pigtails) a bit longer, and problem is solved. Hindenburg - that is where you can move your stopper a bit so your rear lines dont go fully slack. But as said - when you get more experie...

Re: I cant fly my kites, please help me!

It is the opposite - his kite frontstalls when the rearlines are slack :o A few kites unfortunately has this tendency, and it was apparently corrected for the next year. The only thing you can do IMO, is to set the stopper a little bit lower, so the kite is not fully flying on its frontlines, but st...
