Re: Kite Inverting

I'm just a beginner so don't quote me or hold me reponsible... lol Anyhow, the first question that comes to mind, is the kite falling on it's trailing edge? If so, I have just experienced this after my instructor shortened my steering lines. Basically, what happens from my perspective is this, you m...

Re: Google world/maps and wind forecasts!

Peter, I am with you. There are a lot of good tools out there but not one that has it all..... I use http://www.windguru.com in combiantion with www.iWindsurf Wind Flow Vis FX maps (they are the best way to display wind data quickly I find) A google maps tool that will combine those 2 will be aweso...

Re: ShredReady or Gath Helmet distributer in Canada?

Ouch, sorry to hear that. I would suggest emailing Gath in Oz, to try to bypass the Canadian distributor, gath@gathsports.com . The folks in Australia have been response in years past. I did some googling myself and I see what you mean about Canadian listings. Opps looks like I spoke to soon, the G...

have you tried strappless, skim, directional, surfboard?
that can be a lot of fun too in 8 -15knots, something different anyways
but agree that twintips in lightwind kinda sucks..
then again ive never tried a speed 19m.
What size of kite are you using and what is your body weight?

Re: ShredReady or Gath Helmet distributer in Canada?

This is an actual distributor in Canada for Gath, they should be able to hook you up with retailers there: http://www.gathsports.com/distcountry.p ... try=CANADA Thanks for your reply... I had found that link, unfortunately, they have not responded in a timely manor. I was hoping there were others?...

Google world/maps and wind forecasts!

Hi there I have requested for google to add a feature which would overlay publicly available wind forecasts onto their maps. It is a crap shoot, but with enough support on the thread, it might happen. If you ever wished you could zoom in closer to a wind forecast map, this is your opportunity to say...

Re: Is Lightwind any Fun? Is it worth kiting in light wind?

Bunch of old men!... I'm 39, this is my first year, and I have yet to bring my board with me to the beach.... My attraction to the sport is the cruising aspect, being able to wake board without the noise and smell of a boat pulling me around, being able to ride the shore break at my local beach, doi...
