Re: Bandit 5, Naish Park, Switch Element. Comparisons?

@TomW: yes totally agree, it is impossible to be objective and online reviews are not going to encourage anyone to buy a kite in my opinion.Reviews in magazines are probably even less reliable since they are making a living from the advertising revenue and need a long term relationship with the adve...

Re: EpicKites (3rd Generation. 3G kites)

Or Mr. mo'wind you could buy a 16m Switch Nitro Racer for $865 shipped to your door.... Decisions decisions... Lmao the price difference is hilarious! I dont know how the Nitro Racer compares to the Infinity in terms of low end, think they are probably both pretty good low end kites - but to be hon...

Re: Bandit 5, Naish Park, Switch Element. Comparisons?

I would agree that a lot of reviews of the Element are a bit early considering it has only been out for a short while. There is a real problem getting objective reviews on kites, whether it is online from people who are directly or indirectly linked to a brand or in magazines from people who may rel...

Re: Bandit 5, Naish Park, Switch Element. Comparisons?

Just because he owns a Switch kite doesn't mean he is pimping. I'm thinking of moving from C's to an RPM style kite so I'd love to hear a comparison between these kites. If people think the Switch Element is as good as an RPM I'd be willing to try one. I don't see why anyone would want to spend twi...

Re: Bandit 5, Naish Park, Switch Element. Comparisons?

Bandit 5 looks like a nice kite. Is it an Open C? From the pictures I have seen looks more delta shaped. Open C kites have a lower projected area for same flat area from what I know. I dont know if the additional area in the wing tips is what gives Open C kites that ultra stable feel?

Re: Bandit 5, Naish Park, Switch Element. Comparisons?

I can give you a rough comparison between the Element and the RPM. RPM is a bit faster turning with light bar pressure and more oriented to unhooked freestyle. Element is a bit slower (but still has fast pivotal turning) with slightly higher bar pressure but with more low end, and more oriented towa...

Re: EpicKites (3rd Generation. 3G kites)

Year 1: 2200 kites, Year 2: 2420 kites, Year 3: 2928 kites In this particular case the exponential function is X(t)=X(0)x(1+r)^t where r is approximately 0.1089 As long as the difference is increasing, then you can pretty much get a reasonable exponential fit for any three data points. This seems t...

Re: Switchkites - Element?

Nice video. Looks ultra stable, looked very gusty on that day. I am going to get the 9m as soon as I can sell my existing 9m Obsession. Would be very interested to hear what the low end is like to see how it will pair up with the 13m Element. How fast was the turning on it?
