Re: FireWire vanguard ?

Vanguard nose protection. I have a kite buddy that just took a hit in the face after botching a pretty radical off the lip. Lots of stitches, just missed his eye. Got me thinking about putting some sort of nose protection on the VG. Anyone try any tail guards or something similar on the nose of thi...

Re: kite trip february..where ?

Kandathoduwa in Sri Lanka has over 90% of kiteable wind in January and February. Because we get a thermic re-inforcement in this period, the wind is typically 1-2 knots stronger than in Kalpitiya. Re: which [1st] kite to buy? [and why Switch Element 4 :)]

Maybe you want to check out the Blade Trigger 14m ?
It's light, turns fast, drifts nicely, and has a good low end.
It will enable you to develop and improve your kite skills as far as you want to take it.

Pricewise about the same as the Switch, but with the better bar.

Did Ruben decide to leave Best, or did Best not resign him because of cancer?

Re: Firewire Vader

It largely depends on your weight. Typically, go a size smaller than you would for surfing with a traditional shape. Surfers Fins work well for me (and as they're not as known as futures e.g., you can get some good deals (like this one: http://www.wetfins.com.au/surfboard-fins/thruster-fins/thruster...
