Re: Ocean Rodeo stick shift bar

Hey ORSales,

One more question. Have you tried this bar in below freezing conditions? How does all that PU tubing behave?
I appreciate that no bar will work if gets iced up...think pre-frozen bar on snow.

Re: Ocean Rodeo stick shift bar

...It will unwind with a bump bump bump against your hand but you simply keep your hand against the winder and it will unspool. Good news. It's important to note too that our system will allow you to do all of this with your eyes still looking ahead as the winder will always be in the same spot and...

Re: Ocean Rodeo stick shift bar

It is intriguing. I like the principal of a rear line trim for sure, but my one concern with this system is speed. I find I adjust trim often. My concern is that it would take a lot of time to power (twisting the knob), and a lot of clicking to depower. riding...click, click, click.... A 2:1 strap c...

Flysurfer Speed 3 21m DLX

All white Speed 3 21m DLX. I have had this kite since new and it is lightly used and well cared for. I only had it out a handful of time per year on water or snow. Kept in tune (I fly foils almost exclusively), this kite and its fabric are in very good condition. There is a small professional repair...

Re: Angry Swallow fin configurations

I'm ok with buying local. I guess I was suffering from sticker shock in that last post.

I was hoping that with the right fins I could do a decent job at dual purposing this board. Great Lakes waves, and light wind cruiser.

Now I just need to figure out what those fin setups will be...

Re: Angry Swallow fin configurations

Alright! I'm on the right track now... Thanks for the links and personal experiences with this board. I will say, while I am sure different fins make a difference, hundreds of $$$ for fin sets seems absurd. I have trouble accepting that hex core carbon whatever would really be all that different tha...

Angry Swallow fin configurations

Can someone give me the rundown on the pros/cons of the different fin configurations? (2015 5 fin)
What about aftermarket fins of different sizes?
Is there a good fin setup for light wind? Or, replacement fins for light wind?
I searched around, not a lot of info about it...

Thanks.

Re: Foolkookio and bullshit claims about ram air relaunch

bullshit...done it myself. Get some air under the leading edge, then hold it back from launching by pulling back lines, water drains as kite is slowly allowed to lift from the water. All that water will likely end up on one side as it lifts, so you are pulling the opposite back line to prevent the k...

Re: Elf Joker 6 9m, my first foil kite

To answer your original question, use a sandbag to hold the folded over tip down for launching. Wont need to be too big for that sized kite.

And expect a learning curve...It is different and you will have a few lessons to learn. ;)

Enjoy!
