I attempted peelply finish without vacuum on top of the board as mentioned on this thread, but got these bubbles. I ironed the peelply beforehand. What causes these? Possible to eliminate these without vacuum? Hand layup air bubbles are a problem, You can use a Heat gun to remove a majority of bubb...
West system or other like Epoxy is the best glue for laminating plywood, its rather CHEAP for laminating as long as you don't use large amounts. Back a few years ago I use to make wood composite boards with concave, rocker, and fiberglass stringers without a vacuum bag. I used a Form and Screws. Dry...
Any problems with a plywood board sinking or sitting so low in the water that it is hard to see after you fall off? When paired with a very heavy aluminium foil (more than 4kg), it was a bit of a problem. But with a regular, sub 4kg aluminum or carbon foil, it's not an issue. I've thought of making...
Even now and then I'll have the foil pitch sideway and be expelled off, usually on a wave or transition, and go flying from 1meter up, and also the board and foil sometimes flies up too. It seems, you mite get boomerang, just over thinking.
Just noticed almost all the Wing videos the're using board leashes. That's scary, but I see why, its really hard to chase your board/foil down wind/waves with a Wing. Now Wings don't seem very practical to me.
I think this conversation could go forever with the posters who do have proof of their preferred kite capabilities out of the bag and their ability to video/photo the evidence and those who profess such evidence is irrelevant if the kite or related gear is half the price or less and their say so is...
Give it a Break, I can buy 5 Pansh kites in all sizes for correct wind ranges for winds 6 to 50mph, for the price of one Flysurfer Kite with limited range. I can beat the hell out of them on the snow or water, if I have a kitemare 1mile out ditch the kite swim in safe, for 300$ cost who cares. Mod t...
Love the people who say bring your knees in, Sweet lets speed up the rotation , best twist the board so the tip is in the opposite direction of travel this should arrest the rotation and also look cool
Thats what I like to do.
