Re: Info on moving to Cape Hatteras area

Decide if you want to be at the beach or near the beach. 2 hours away I don't think is close enough if your goal is to have easily accessible Hatteras kiteboarding. You'll find yourself hampered by summer traffic and you won't get down there as often as you like. There are some great places to live...

Re: Upgrade crossbow to 2014 switchblade?

I updated my 2010 XBow quiver to 2012 and '13 Switchblades and I love them! Much more stable and you can ride them in waves. No secret, the XBows were absolutely terrible in waves. I think you'll be happy with the change. :thumb:

Re: What size of Jimmy Lewis Model 3

I'm 190 to 200 depending on the time of year and I ride a Mod III 139 in the conditions you described. I tried a 133 and for me it was too small. The 139 fits me like a glove.

Re: Advice personal property/renters insurance

^ call your car insurance. Only property attached to car ex: radio in dash gps is covered by an auto policy, not gear inside car which is considered personal property and covered by homeowners/rental. This is what geico said on phone. Cool I will check out usaa I don't have to call anybody, a buddy...

Re: Advice personal property/renters insurance

Do you leave your gear in your car? I have renters insurance because I'm currently renting an apartment, so if the apartment burns or someone breaks in and steals my stuff, it's all covered. Never heard of renters insurance for any other reason. If I had gear stolen from my car, my car insurance wou...

Yes, please do tell! :jump: I'm thinking this board would be perfect for the afternoon "Ora" on Lake Garda.

Re: Kitsurfing in North Italy for beginners

Hi, can anybody advise me a good kitesurfing spot in Northern Italy with low depth water, sand beach and flat water? Thanks a lot. Lago di Garda! It's not shallow and there's no sand, but Mika and crew will teach you how to kite. But you better hurry, the season ends the middle of October. http://w...

Re: Switchblade quiver advice

I have an 8 and10m ('12) and a 14m ('13), perfect for where I ride. I'm on the 10 and 14 the most, and the 8 when it's nuking. I'm 200 lbs and ride a 6' surfboard most of the time. The depower is pretty significant, so like others, I think you'd be happy with the 8. :thumb:

Re: South Padre & Hatteras

For the OBX fly into Norfolk, Virginia, you'll have to rent a car and drive a few hours to get on island...and I'd say Brownsville for SPI. 8)
