Re: Key West KiteHouse December reviews

My wife and I spent last December down in Key West. Our two days with the Kite House was well worth it.

My wife loved her lesson with Emily. During that time I was able to play around.
We did wear our shortie wet suits at the time.

Well worth the $$

Small hole in kite

I have a small pea size hole in my canopy.

What is the best way to fix it? Sticky tape?
Would you put it on both sides?

Where is the best place to find it?

Thanks

Re: Water kiting near Denver?

Check out our local forum.

http://kiteboarding.meetup.com/36/

You will be able to see where to go and when everyone is going.

Right now we are all snowkiting.

We will be on the water in the next couple of months.

See you around,
Jim

Re: Lizard Head Pass, CO; How are snow conditions?

Hey Todd, There are great conditions right now up there. I hate to say, but you probley should rent a car. You will be on vacation, while the others will have to be working. Check out the windguru for Lizard Head pass. http://www.windguru.cz/int/index.php?go=1&lang=eng&wj=mph&tj=f&odh=4&doh=22&fhour...

You need to be able to stay up wind to have any fun. But your wife will love it.

Enjoy,

Re: Launching from a boat with no land???

If the sailboat is long enough you can run your lines around the boat. They you go for the drift launch. When you want to land you need to have some one in the dingy to catch the kite. On the small boats, you anchor stern to. It is best to have your line all ready to go and use a compressor to blow ...

Re: What size kite,,,,11m or 13m ???

Thanks guys for the imput,

It looks like the call is the 11m, I still seems to be a large jump from the 11m to the 16m.
But I guess the new kites have such a large range, it should be fine.

Cheers,
Jim
