Re: IKA new course racing equipment for 2013

Cabrinha is on the list? :protest2: As Neil Pryde the brand owner drove hard to push Kiteboarding out of the Olympics, just as he promised. I am surprised to see them there. I'd be further surprised if anyone other than paid staff would show up at an event with one. Neil Pryde wanted to be the exclu...

Re: kitesurfing holiday january 2013

If you don't mind the Hobbits, the far North of the North Island of New Zealand is really nice that time of year.
We run our Kite camps there every year.

Re: Spleene crashed in 2012

@yesindeed - Welcome to the Forum! :thumb: There is a right bunch of opinionated passionate kiters here. As you will quickly realise the brand love riders have for one brand over another is fascinating. It makes no sense to new or non kiters, but it is very real. Almost tribal but it's non localised...

Re: Spleene crashed in 2012

@Rainer Kauper, well you did the right thing to log in and give a different impression of your business. But if you don't agree that SPLEENE is broke just say so. If you own the company you should try put forward positive stuff on forums and we will listen as you position is the one we are intereste...

Re: Kite Companies You listen!

Seriously? That is not a feature. It is crap like that on kites and the marketing BS that I don't like. Just learn how to pack up a kite. Additional things like that on a kite create far more annoying issues than they solve. Extra wear point, Leak point, thing to remember to close when you bup up, s...

Re: Health of Kite Industry?

+1 Liquid force does not deserve to be in the same category as North or Cabrinha in terms of material selection, build quality or design. I think Naish and Liquid Force may be similar in terms of durability but Naish has one of the longest standing reputations in wind sports and notably better desig...

Re: new kiter curoius on trainer

Hi, I teach Kiteboarding and this is my approach. Grab any trainer around 2.5m and fly it a lot. The idea is to master it in light and strong conditions. Build up instinctive reactions and good muscle memory skills. It does not matter if it is not depowerable, as where you place the kite for power i...

Re: Health of Kite Industry?

Spleene have removed all kites from their web site, just doing boards by the look of it. Underground went under, the previous owner is setting up as Axis . But I'm not sure if that is what you are referring to about them trying to start up again. Underground is a very strong brand name so I'm sure ...

Re: Fishy Boards, A Unique Brand New Custom Board Company

Fishy is having a poke at the big brands, I like that. My one is called HELL Boardriders! Mine might be taking it too far with the name, but it's just about having fun while marketing solid products. Go the small guys I say. You are off to a good start. Fishy in NZ often means 'not right', but it is...

Re: Health of Kite Industry?

Yeah, top secret hush hush :cool2: who knows B was owning it up till about 2008 as I understand it. C and B jostling for first place at around 35,000 units I heard (but unconfirmed) N was huge in Europe at that time but dead down my end of the world for a long time. They could be the largest now but...
