Hey ewing, I fly Ocean Rodeo. I've never flown a 21M but I've flown a '02 or '03 16M. In steady 8-9 knot winds, I was planning and staying up wind on a 165cm board. I weigh 75kg before the wetsuit etc. This might give you an idea what the 21M could do. Just remember, especially for light winds, the ...

I am still using the '04 Punch-Out bar from Ocean Rodeo. I have never had an unintentional release, nor have I been unable to release when required. To be honest, I've not had an emergency situation where I had to release, but I sometimes punch-out after a session just to test the system. Haven't se...

I agree with the last post. The Mako is like riding with a susspension underneath. Very smooooooth. It's much easier on the knees in choppy conditions so if you are prone to sore knees, it's the board of choice for sure. I use my Mako exclusively now. I have 3 other boards that I have not ridden for...

Never flown a Brono 10M but I have a 2004 9M. I'm about 75kg and an intermediate kiter. I can hold the 9M up to high 20's to maybe 30 knots on a 150 cm board.

Hey BJkitesurf, I've got a 2004 Pyro. I've had the best winter kiting ever. I understand they have continuously improved the outer material to make them lighter. My 2004 suit even has a zippered pouch at the ankle (to keep my car key, I think). The leg material is also a bit long for me so I simply ...

We recently spent a fifteen-day kitsurfing vacation at La Ventana, Mexico. The weather was uncharacteristically cloudy while we were there but we still managed 10 days kiting. We stayed at Baja Joe’s. It was terrific! It was not fancy, but very comfortable, fun and friendly. Joe and Angie wer...

I have a 2003 Ocean Rodeo 12M, 2004 Ocean Rodeo 9M and a 2005 Ocean Rodeo 14M. They all have the most durable construction I've seen in any kite. This is because they were made to withstand the tough, rocky beaches of the Canadian west coast. For performance, They all rock in my opinion. Very stable...

I also have an Ocean Rodeo Pyro suit. It's the warmest suit I've had (although I have not tried other dry suits, only wetsuits). It gives me great flexibility and I can dress with more or less fleece underneath, depending on how cold the weather is. I know one of the local guys who, a couple times, ...

Another great session in my Pyro suit! Air temp was 9 degrees celcius, ocean temp was MUCH COLDER! Took an early lunch from work and blasted to the beach. Had a comfortable and warm hour long ride with my 12M then blasted back to work. I never used to get on the water in November. All my co-workers ...
