Another option on the dry bag is to use one of the 'environmentally friendly' reusable bags that you can get from grocery stores. Fill it with sand... can easily dump at the end of the day and easy to fill at the start.

Sorry to have hijacked this thread with talk of swivels. Kinda satisfying to hear a rider of another company give the low down on the real effectiveness of his/her swivel. The only reason I'd like the front lines from untangling is if I'm having to do a self landing and want to attach my leash to on...

I'll take your word on the 720s... I'll settle for learning to backroll on my weak side... good motivation to learn.

I can't believe that LF hasn't found a swivel that can withstand the required loads. Most other kite manufacturers have... I tried my 14m Havoc with 10m line extensions yesterday in VERY light wind. With the right board I think would have been pretty good. Surprised how much easy it was to fly at th...

Good review and bang on from what I can tell. I have a 14/10m quiver. The 10m is my favourite BY FAR. Great wind range and so easy to fly. One thing I JUST noticed and you hit it dead on is the lack of a swivel for the front lines. I'm just learning to do back rolls right now and my front lines get ...

I have a 14m/10m '08 Havoc quiver. The 10m for me is the sweet kite. The 14m gets me going from about 14 knots up until the low 20's... the 10m is fun from 18/19 knots right up until about 30 knots. I've had the 10m out in mid 30's and it wasn't fun at all! I'm about 85kg/185 lbs, 140cm Element and ...

All this time I've been bitching about the chicken loop release and not the 2nd'ary safety. I had one of those rigid safeties on my 2006 M80's... a pain in the butt. I'd advise on getting an new safety. Most kiters have >1 kite and only use one safety (each bar/line set-up comes with a safety). Upgr...

The ironic part about it is the LF kites still don't come with any manual/DVD, yet the kite has writing on the inside wing tip which clearly says you MUST read the manual before flying the kite. The video on the website clearly shows that you should clean out the quick release before you kite... whi...

Yesterday, in 8-10 knot winds a mate of mine was doing alright (losing a BIT of ground) on a new skim (so fat!) while two of us on twintips were out of luck. For the record, the wind was blowing more than 8 knots when we got there... we were already wet and hadn't kited in a week. I'm sure everyone ...

After I posted I realized that I should have included my weight... I'm about 84kg/185 lbs. Still a beginner (started jumping a couple of weeks ago, been kiting since May) and mostly ride in light chop (as opposed to surf). All I'm really looking for is a board that I can get out on the water with wh...
