SPI - everything but the kitchen sink

Couple of friends and myself want to hit it in SPI (South Padre Island) by the end of October for a week. Fortunately one of us is able to drive and carry all gear. And I mean all gear. Basically everything what floats and flies is on the move. So I think, kite size, board and what-eva is not an iss...

Re: SoCal In October - Kite size, Strapless waveriding

Welcome to the West Coast :D Wind at that time of the year is either hit or miss. More important bring a wetsuit, water temp will be in the mid 60ies. Average kite size is 12 - 14. Swell and surf is normally good (espclly with a storm off of MX or S-Pacific). Surf swell is from the south, wind swell...

Re: Pacasmayo waves - Windsurfers have priority???

This written rule on the wall is actually a compliment to me as a kiter. The author of this board is obviously such a miesly and grumpy waterman that he needs a 'rule' to claim his authority? :D :D Well, where I kite everything is in the water; surfer, kids, swimmer, windsurfer, j-boats, turtles and...

Re: Maui, Kanaha a shark attacked a unmanned kiteboard

Ever since the law makers ban shark fins in Hawaii, there have been noted increases of shark attacks. I guess the law makers think surfer's lives are not as important as the sharks. Sharks are not even endangered like the turtle or the Monk seals they prey on. Some of you people are setting my brai...

Re: Wax substitute

it's good stuff, I like it. I am not a fan of wax, just too messy for me (car, home, garage ...) Couple a things to consider: It's permanent. There's no way back. Unless you sand down your top layer you can't get it off; it's transparent, so it doesn't cover graphics or stickers. I like that, since ...

Re: Exactly what they don't need there.

:alarm: :alarm: :alarm: Wow ...after reading the YouTube commentary - if a disgruntled resident began filming dumb kiters at my beach (if what I interpret to be the case) I would be organizing kiters and meeting with residents to work together rather than digging in...this guy might just succeed in...
