Guys, seems like I'll be there too, representing Spain (and The Netherlands, where I live currently).

Will be arriving on the 25th already.

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Any updates on the event, Toby, or any idea on how many of us will attend?

Hi Dwight, you as North expert can maybe help me out here (again...): I do like the Rhino2 16 a lot, especially for low wind conditions, but I have some troubles with it when the wind picks up (currently my next kite is a BT 2001 7.0 = 9.5m2). Even though the gap seemed ok upfront, in practice I hav...

What about the depower line length? Apparently the length of the depower on the North Scepter is pretty short... won't that be a problem with the GXR (which may need more length)?

Any comments on the fit Rhino2 16 and GXR 12 (gap too big/too small)?

Thanks!

Hi, I currently have a Rhino2 16, and I am considering getting a Gaastra GXR 12. I want to buy a new bar, and would like to have ONE I can use with these 2 kites. The obvious options would be either the North Scepter or the "standard" bar coming with the Gaastra kites. Can anybody give me any advice...

Hi Dwight, Is the Toro(1) 8.0 also a good choice as small kite, or is the Toro2 MUCH better? You may remember that I was doubting about which kite to buy as a big kite (Rhino2 14 vs 16), having a BlackTip 7.0. Finally bought the Rhino2 16.0, which is a great kite for low winds, but I have experience...

Thanks for the info, Sagi.

I am 20 kg lighter and use a Gaastra Chip 142/37... if I can hold up to 16 knots, I will be a happy man (haven't had the chance to try yet)

Sagi, up to how much wind can you handle the 16m2 reasonably? And what is your weight/board? Thanks!

I was indeed a non-North rider (Cabrinha so far). Power is definitely more than my old BlackTip, and my X2-friends also agree that the Rhino2 has more power.
