Re: Chrono / Sonic 15 or 18 for light wind and a Twin Tip ?

I find a 12 / 13 flysurfer ideal in those winds - I'm 70 Kg and find they are the right size to throw around and jump with. Going bigger you will ride ok but not have the weight to really shift the kite. My buddy who is 30 Kg heavier than me will ride the 15 all the time as that is a good fit for him.

And they hate being left flapping on the beach...........Always sand the downwind tip in high winds or you will have a birds nest of epic proportions

Re: How Many LEI Riders Own A Foil Kite For Ultra-Light Wind

I just watched Hawaiis video ......it's super light wind....you completely depowered the foil - flew it to the edge of the window and then wondered why it stalled and fell over. And then you have the temerity to complain about the kite. I would be ashamed to have posted that video...it makes you loo...

Re: How can you afford to start kiteboarding?

Like others said....learn to fly a trainer kite....get Jedi at that...then

Get a landboard and learn to ride that - you'll have all the skills then to progress to the water. Buy the progression video
And watch that a few hundred times. Then go for a lesson to put it all together.

I have vague memories of having a helicopter fly over me when kiting and being lifted off the water for a few seconds
