Re: King kevin Fuckwad is at it again

I hope this is a typo: 'Kearney is actually an instructor in the sport of kite surfing' from http://www.insideedition.com/news.aspx?storyId=2027 He's gotta make the Honorable Mention category of the Darwin Awards this year: The stupidity displayed by the participants in the following tales stops sho...

Re: Say no to kiteforum

Betcha Kevin Kitemare Kierney started that one.

He wasn't strictly 'flying' in 50knot winds, he was being tossed by them

Satan,

When on the political offensive,
It's best to prepare a better policy to present to your audience.

Otherwise you come across as a whinging pussy-loop with personal issues.

Must be warm & windless down where you're at.

Re: One Armed Bar Wwanted, Reward!!!!

I wonder if a special bar is even necessary? A kite with super-low bar pressure and fast turning (e.g. GK V-Sonic) and simple release system (ok, not so sure about GK, although it is possible to re-set the chicken loop with 1 hand on the latest version) I ride one handed with fingers either side of ...

Re: Toby, can we vote EP off this island?

Btw,

Where is that toss-pot Mulholland?

Has his known universe collapsed in upon itself as reality bites? (global warming, economic meltdown under Bush, no job, evolution proven as fact, etc. etc.)

Entertainning stuff, but absolutely zero to do with kiting.

At least EP is on topic.

Re: WHAT WENT WRONG? Ft. Lauderdale Lofting Summary

Chiming in on the 12 O'clock issue... One of the least sensible things I've heard... In a squall with windshifts/microbursts, whatever, it only takes a few knots of windspeed drop/lull to take the kite waaaaay back in the window.... so the kite sinks down in the window.... catches the next brief gus...

Re: Show pictures of dead or almost dead kiters?

jdub87, Those images were not entertaining, nor voyeurism. If you wanted that, you could go buy a copy of the 'Bizarre' magazine This is a sensible, (fairly) serious forum. There's a difference between Education and Entertainment, the way the images were presented almost need no description: but if ...

Re: Show pictures of dead or almost dead kiters?

After seeing those horrifying photos (the Brazil incident), and seriously contemplating my own risk-taking, I asked myself if that were me, would I want to be seen as a warning/reminder to others about how quickly things can go wrong?

The answer was yes.
