Re: Fatality at Topanga Canyon California

I have seen the video...looks like he got tossed about 20 feet. Doesn't look all that violent but apparently it doesn't take much....RIP You make a very important point. When you bash your head it does not take much to be killed or seriously injured with life changing consequences. That is why it i...

Re: Fatality at Topanga Canyon California

This is very sad to hear. I have seen Cliff on the beaches from time to time. After watching the video it looks like the kite started to dive to one side and he brought it back past 12 way to quickly. No helmet and probably would not of helped. He hit head first going pretty fast. So awful to watch....

Re: Kite fatality in Thailand

Sorry to hear about another fatality. RIP. Bouys is waves can be very dangerous. The body is bouncing around and can literally appear from no where and sink under the crest of a wave. The other huge risk is that if you get tangled in a body the problem is that the buoy is anchored to the sea floor. ...

Re: Strapless board for a big guy

Kite power on---get to the wave and set up on the face. Kite power off/drifting and it is all board--surfing. Use the board to generate speed by navigating the wave face. Up to the top of the wave to reset and drop in again. The kite, pulling too much, will not allow you to stand up and effectively...

Re: Kiting ban in Saudi Arabia

Were women ever allowed to kitesurf in Saudi Arabia? Last I heard girls sports are banned in any public school in Saudi Arabia. The way the kingdom treats its women is disgusting. Probably a good thing they ban kitesurfing, because the dress code that they wold impose on women kitesurfers would get ...

Re: Quikfin - tool free fin system

Looks like your adding 4 new snag points for your lines on your board.
Counter sunk screws are better, simpler and only require one simple little tool... a screw driver.
