Re: Kitemare near car

Why on earth do people use those bullshit carabiner? That is not a weight rated carabiner. Only reason I can think he is hooked in like that is because he is not using a chicken loop or connecting to a rope slider. He should have never released the kite to the flag out line too much of a risk for it...

Re: How do you desk jockies stay in shape?

I have all ways been big into fitness before I was stuck behind a desk. I work shift work and 12 hrs a day at that. I work out before work or kite when its windy. If that means waking up at 1am when I work days that is what I do. It is a trained habit to be consistent over time. But it is the best ...

Re: Kiting with a torn muscle?

On cold therapy there has been some studies on it that are starting to suggest that it is not beneficial for recovery. It does work for pain as it reduces swelling but it all so does by reducing blood flow to the injured area. Heat works by increasing the blood flow to the area. Personally I prefer ...

Re: Impact vest recommendations

For a waist harness just get a WakeBoard CGA vest. More floatation and more padding.

Re: Cabrinha announces separation with Lorenzo and Leo Casati

It’s the classic question we keep asking since so many years: are team riders leading to more sales? For sure everyone has their fans. Fans like to be like the idol, and also buy their gear. How many, and if it is worth it, only a brand can evaluate. DK might can give insights into this. we could e...

Re: Cabrinha announces separation with Lorenzo and Leo Casati

Just read thru all the hyperbole and speculation. Seriously the kid does not need an Allula kite win with. I know its the in thing right now everyone should make kites with it to make this fabrics cheerleaders feel full of joy. 99.9% of all kiters will never come close to Lorenzo or any of these pro...

Re: North Orbit 2024

i was really expecting a new bar.. i have 4 north kites, but i use a slingshot sentry bar since auto-swivel is so comfortable and i had a few unexpected unhooks with the navigator. i am updating my bar this fall, probably going sentry again for now. It was implied on the Megapod podcast that the Na...

Re: Should I get a second larger board

I would get a larger kite instead of the board. Boards only give you minimal increase in lighter winds vs a larger kite. At 74kg a 134 is is plenty big. Im 86kg and I ride a 136cm North Atmos in te mid teen range with a 12m Reach. Unless your wanting to do freestyle with a wakestyle board that has l...
