Re: Handle passes too dangerous long-term for shoulders?

My weak shoulders don't just keep me from handle passes but makes all unhooked riding a true pain. It's the force upwards, even when I keep my albows low that makes both my shoulders hurt. I can't even use below bar depower cause I can't project enough force with my arm in that angle. E.g. triceps ...

Re: Handle passes too dangerous long-term for shoulders?

If you do the right exercises to prevent it, you shouldn't get hurt. These are great ex: http://www.kiteboardingexercises.com/index.php?option=com_hwdvideoshare&task=viewvideo&Itemid=58&video_id=134 It's also very comon to get injured due to lack of resting. Re: how mutch vac to use ?

As much vac as possible... I use an inustrial vac pump, which sucks to almost total vacuum. I have a good connection at Danfoss and got one they use to test high pressure systems with. No other vac pump in the world can suck as much as that :) But my first board was made with 2 powerfull vacuum clea...

Re: Adjustabke rocker table; how to?

Larse, This is what i came up with for an adjustable rocker table. I was tired of creating different blanks, and made this up. Seems to work really well and wasn't too expensive. I used 2x4 1/8" steel for the 3 6' stringers. Then have 1"x1" crossmembers at 32" wide to adjust the rocker. On the 2x4'...

Re: Shinny top & dirty plexiglass on rocker table

Hey Dany, I think if you use peel ply you will always have a dull and slightly rough finish. Yes, you get good excess resin removal, but then you have to add more resin after to get it smooth, and sand and polish. If you go with the method of vinyl on top of the glass and cotton, and squeegee as mu...

Re: Adjustabke rocker table; how to?

Yeah, I also worried about plexi glass being too soft and flexi. Even 5mm is still flexi. Not as much as wood, but still. But combined with those wodden sticks from that pic, I'll be alright :) That will work, I'm sure.

Adjustabke rocker table; how to?

I want to make an adjustable ricker table and need some advice. I'm thinking of just making a frame with 15cm bolts coming straight up from the frame for every 10cm all the way around and then just put pvc (plexi glass) on to that. And then adjust the rocker with some nuts to fix them at a certain h...

Re: The Surf kite from Epic Kites

Good work D :) I'm glad to see something new in the kite market :) From the pics it looks like the bridle is so long, it could wrap around the tip and start looping. Or does it just stay clear of the tip even fully depowered?

Re: Freestyle and easy relaunch?

I recentky got hold a te Judge from Epic. I really really love that kites performance. Feels so easy to ride. Direct and powerful like a c kite (fun to loop :) ), but forgiving and easy like an sle. It's like my beloved hifi 2011, but more stable. I haven't relaunched in lighter winds yet, so I will...
