Looks like the battens are fully enclosed.
From the Gong Website: New: the ear battens are optional, it’s up to you to put them on or not, and they slip naturally through the trailing edge like on a windsurf sail.

Re: 9m Orbit and 9m Pivot Quiver

I am 76 kg / 167 lbs and I ride the Pivot 9 from 15-16 knots on a 135/41 cm board, So I think your wife will have no problems using it in 15-20 knots.
But I kite in colder climate (Denmark), so 15-20 knots up here in scandinavia is probably more powerful than 15-20 knots in Texas or Florida.

New board for my Big buddy

I am trying to find a new TT for my buddy. He is a heavy guy 100 kg / 220 lbs. He has been kiting for a few years, but not many sessions per year. He is doing small jumps, gyping etc. but going upwind, (especially in onshore conditions) is sometimes a struggle for him. He is currently riding a very o...

On the water the carbon performs the way you would expect: it feels more solid & stable than the alu foil.
See, I'd expect the opposite based on the data
Maybe the mast is a carbon/placebo mix

Re: Aluminium vs Carbon Mast - Cost vs Benefit

once you experience the joy, the fun, the shear delight of being able to appreciate the benefits of well made super light gear, the silky high speed wobble free, noise free, draggy feel free, then the cost becomes less of an issue, change to a gong ali mast? If you are on a W633/W679 frontwing, the...

Re: Aluminium vs Carbon Mast - Cost vs Benefit

how do you fix dings, scratches, whistling or ventilation on ALU mast? You don't  you're unlikely to damage the mast and if you do, throw it away and buy a new one -- they're the cheapest component in the setup. Yep, a new 95 cm mast for my Gong setup is 79 EUR / 96 USD :thumb: https://www.gon...

Like for the pulsion with about same weight, you should be able to jump ! And relaunch better than a single skin even in 6 knots, and more speed/fun during the ride.

I like this Falcon and would like to try !!!!

Curious about the aspect ratio...
AR is 5 - 5.25 :

Re: Corrosion on Fuselage Concern!

Aluminium foils are a really crap marketing joke. They're heavy and expensive for what you get and you're stuck with a maintenance workload for no real benefit. What a load of BS. There is a lot of great alufoils on the market: Zeeko, Alpinefoil,Gong,Moses.... Sure they require a little maintenance...
