Re: Lightest kiteboard?

"Ultra light weight....Pfffffft." Exactly Starsky! A few of things that humor me: Watching people ooh and aw over how light a board is without trying it on the water. What's the flex, how does it edge, go up wind, pop, cut through chop...then there are those standing on the beach deciding what size ...

Re: Herniated disc

I have 5 discs removed and have had a number of laminectomies. I kited with a waist harness for a long time, the advantage being that the lower back twists less than with a waist harness. Re: Can you help? Best spots for beginner in Mexico?

Shallow water with good schools that can get you out in almost any wind direction on Isla Holbox (Holbox Kiteboarding school) and Isla Blanca (Ikarus Kiteboarding school). Get to both by flying to Cancun. I'd recomm...

Hotel zone, side on SW, on shore E, other winds un kitable. Isla Blanca all wind directions work. There are shuttles from centro, downtown near the bus station. to Isla Blanca. Bus from hotel zone to Centro 10-13 pesos. Shuttle prices to Isla Blanca were very but cheap, prices have been rising so no...

Re: How do you feel about personal attacks on the forum?

The anonymity of the internet in regards to forums and news sites brings out the worst in some people. There is no need for personal attacks, take the anger and go for a walk, a swim, surf, kite, bike...work it out.

Re: Water start beginner question

2 things to add to some good advice from others. 1: push hard with your legs when doing the power stroke. This creates more resistance between board and water and helps you pop out of the water with little effort. This really makes a difference. 2: I have had a few students who could not get up with...
