Re: Why directional

I'd rather ride a cardboard box or a yard sale sign. Your free to do so. write a review This sport is so funny. There is obviously a lot of ways to do it and we are all free to find our own groove. From Toby's airstyle to Felix's unhooked strapless lip bashing it is obvious that the sport can...

Re: So... whose a waterman?

Always felt that label had a lot more to it than watersports. Someone who makes their living on the water and plays on the water. Knowledge of the area, shoals, currents, condition patterns through the seasons. People who are a little more plugged into the biosphere of their local aquaculture more t...

Re: Naish Park 10 m 2013 for waves.

Not looking to order it from the islands!

I'm in no rush and will have one soon enough, just curious as to why the 10m is not in the naish online store.

Must be a popular size.

Re: Why directional

I did watch a guy the other day that was amazing at strapless SB's. He was pulling cool airs over the waves and then did the nicest toe turn off the lip of a wave. Half way threw the turn he jibed and came down the wave. I guess if your good enough SB's can have just as much freedom as TT's but I c...

Re: Why directional

In flats a surfboard can get pretty boring. I use a surfboard for my light wind set up wherever I happen to be and can always groove on practicing tacks, lill strappless ollie airs, unhooking and powered carves. The light air and upwind performance kicks all over a TT but only until a decent 14 knot...

Re: Why directional

Its a very different feel riding a tt and surfboard in waves of any size. In anything considered small waves (what most of us ride day to day) a tt just wont have the size or float to keep you going and turning at the slower speeds. Waves are great on a TT, but its more riding around in waves, than ...

Re: Naish Park 10 m 2013 for waves.

Tried to pull the trigger on one a month ago and was offered a 9 or 11, and the ten is not offered on the Naish online store.

Re: Who else is pssed at buying wonky kites?

There is not a windsurfing sail out there that can match the range of a 9/10m kite. 15-30 knots is frickin amazing. A 6.5 is lame in 15, I pass em all the time! and way too big in 25. A 5.0 wont feel like any fun until 20 and is backwinding you in the face in 30. A 3.5 comes out of the bag three tim...

Re: Who else is pssed at buying wonky kites?

Tuning? No thanks. One of the best reasons to switch to kiteboarding! Kites: take em out when they are new and fly em to get everything tuned, then forget it... pretty much for the lifetime of the kite! Doesn't matter if its windy or light, you rig the kite exactly the same with the possible excepti...
