Re: The future of foiling

For those saying Foildrive or efoil is the future... not everyone wants a motor. Part of the beauty of our sport is tapping into wind and swell and having that purity and connection to nature. The ability to toggle between wind and wave energy with a wing is truly special. As someone previously men...

Re: 20m LEI Kites - Its Time

Yes, we are limited. We want a big LEI. Looks like others don’t want that for us. How would we call this ? 😂 I dont understand your point Toby? We would love if 18-24 m2 Aluula like kites were offered, no doubt. But simply trying to justify why m(any) brands has chosen not to make these sizes nowad...

Re: 20m LEI Kites - Its Time

I already have 18m Sonic 4. Yes it is a good kite, but I simply cannot use it at the same locations- drift launch, small/ crappy beaches, etc I am sorry to hijack this thread - but why cannot you drift launch your Sonic 4? It is the easiest thing to do, just look some youtube video of foil kite dri...

Re: YpraSurf. Re: My experiences with some Gong foilwings

Two brand new foilwings came here in february 2024, YpraSurf and YpraFreestyle, in 4 sizes each. I bought the two biggest ones: How do you think the smaller sizes would be for kite foiling? I am currently riding the Fluid V1 MS (800 cm2). I enjoy it but would like something that glides even more. A...

I got the Ypra Surf L as well 2 days ago - now waiting for some wind :)

Indeed, as unless you are really talented and can foil out of your transitions at speed, you need some wind - they are small even the big ones (IMO) :naughty:

Re: North shift lock

I never fold my wings, not even the Unit with two rigid handles  Rolled up like windsurf sails and that's it :D 8) Peter Need an option for a long bag, definitely wouldn’t bother removing the boom each use. Exactly - a boom for each wing always mounted, roll it up and into a low cost gard...

Re: solo landing a 5m foil kite

I am also confused? Walk up the lines? When I land the 4 m2 Peak it is most often backstalling and putting my board on the bar so it sits tight to the ground on the rear lines. Don't walk up the lines here. Or, land it in the ground to the side, ditch the bar, and walking or running to the kite just...

Haven't seen any used ones for sale..

Which indicates they love this kite, or not many sold?
