Re: Spitfire club

Wings are brand new.... Are you the kind of guy who would slag a guitar manufacturer if the guitar needed tuning? Surely there has to be sheet of 300 grit and maybe a bottle of isopropanol accessible to you. ‘Cause you should clean the foil, too. Then sand TEs at the correct angles. And don’t forge...

Re: Suggestions on which "neutral buoyancy" foil to get.

You don’t even have to push the mast. Push the lower rail of the board. Easy if strapless. Does the same thing, and not as sharp.
I often just put knee of front leg on near edge of board, it rotates board up easily and then shift to using heel pressure to keep it vertical

Sounds like something ain’t right.
Likely either not assembled right, or something is broken.
Sorry.
If you show pictures, maybe the problem and solution will be clearer.

Re: How do you transport (car) your HF?

As I found out in a rented golf, assembled foils can go in most small or medium cars behind the front seats, front wing down, tail up, fuse roughly parallel to seat back. If you insist on a Porsche, fiat, or “smart”, though, good luck! Giant surf wings, ymmv

Re: Mono hulls in America's Cup - this should be interesting

“Spars in a v” - the ones rising from near deck in a shallow v, appear to be deck spreaders. Give a wide shroud base to support mast. No inboard shrouds visible, just diamond stays. Not too unusual. Not hydraulics I think. They could be hollow and serve a dual purpose, anchoring shrouds and holding ...

Re: Surf Foils for Kiteboarding?

Not Peter but the answer is that the hole spacing of the farthest holes is the same as the ketos kite wings.
The front and rear holes are on center, with the others offset to each side.
So the 1200 can go on the kite fuselage, or the beefier windsurf/SUP fuselage with 4 holes.
