Re: North Dyno 2015 NO water relaunch?

I think I understand what Peter means about the current: that both myself and the kite were floating at the same speed (downwind/downcurrent) hence the current made no difference in the kite behaviour or in the water filling the kite. I thought that the current was helping the kite collecting water ...

Re: Wave / Freeride harness with releasable bar?

MYSTIC Don't like the clickabar, design too complicated.. I want to be able to fully release entire bar / harness. ION Ion wave looks real good, rope system might work well but the bar it's not releasable. PROLIMIT It looks like the only alternative but I don't know how/wether the sliding system wor...

Wave / Freeride harness with releasable bar?

Looking for a comfy wave-free-riding harness with a releasable spreader bar, any ideas?

So far I've only seen one by Prolimit: http://www.prolimit.com/product/kitesurf-wave-harness/

Any advice will be much apreciated :thumb:

Re: North Dyno 2015 NO water relaunch?

It sounds like I tried all the tricks in the book then  I still think that my critical mistake was not to pull the 5th line when the kite fell on its TE in front of me. I would have prevented it from sinking and it would have sat again on its LE floating... Yes I've also tried to swim backward...

Re: North Dyno 2015 NO water relaunch?

Thanks for your tips mate. ...In fact that was exactly what I did. I was yanking those front lines with all my might, but in marginal wind (it was a huge lull) the big boy would just not go up or stay above water. Certainly the lack of central strut only helped collecting water in the canopy, sinkin...

Re: North Dyno 2015 NO water relaunch?

Hi Peter, I was only referring to the current as I was drifting alongside the coast with the kite in the water in no wind.. basically I was water powered instead of wind powered. Yes it's not fair to demand water-powered control to a Dyno  But my doubt is more about what could have done in...

Re: North Dyno 2015 NO water relaunch?

That's probably what I should have done, wait in a good position... instead I was trying hard the relaunch cause I was drifting with the current

North Dyno 2015 NO water relaunch?

I'm really stoked about my Dyno 15m 2015. I think its lightness in the air, turning, bar pressure, wind range, speed and hangtime performance are just hard to equal for any other inflatable kite out there. All good until a recent light wind session on my nugget CSC planning at around 7-9kn, I' andm ...

Re: 2017 north mono 15 meters

Agree with you buddy, and I think it's a good compromise too for light wind wave riding. My only reference would be a 2007 (I think?) Wainman Big Mama 15m, which was ultra heavy due to a bomb proof / 3 struts construction but also ultra slow in turning compared to the new Mono. My light wind wave ri...
