Have a look at the OR Session harness. For those of us who are heavy enough to trash harnesses it seems to be bombproof. Also has optional leg straps, so seat harness users (like me) can make a gradual transition to a waist.

I have one and love it.

You might like a RRD Hypertype. Seems to give a nice amount of low end grunt.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone who thinks they had canopy stretch on any of our kites. I had a Waroo 12 in the summer that I liked well enough at the start, but after a few lit up sessions it didn't feel quite as good, hard to describe but it didn't look or feel as tight as it did when new. ...

February - Zanzibar or Kenya

My wife and I are planning a safari and kite trip for February this year and are trying to decide where the kiting portion should take place. We have narrowed our search to Kenya and or Tanzania/Zanzibar. Does anybody have any advice as to which would be better for kiting at that time of year? Is it...

Are there issues with Cab seams - YES. I have sent back 3 crossbows for repair. That said the warranty is a full year, and they have honoured it for me, repairing the kites each time it is needed. Will I be buying xb2s? Probably not. Although I have been happy with the performance of my crossbows, I...

The riding area is fine, but the beach downwind and the estuary are still a mess.

African kite vacation ideas... Can anybody help???

I am looking to take a vacation to Africa in the next year (perhaps in the spring?). There is lots of info available on South Africa and Egypt, but I am looking for other ideas. Does anybody have any great suggestions? Maybe Kenya, Mauritius, or other? I would be looking for fairly reliable wind and...

My first ride on my contra was a down wind expedition. I had loads of power but ended up downwind. Couldn't figure it out. Then somebody reminded me about aparant wind and the effect that that has on one's ability to go upwind. As I understand it (others with more tech/sailing knowledge than me may ...
