Re: Let's pray for Japan!

absolutely - I have been following this constantly - simply awful.

All credit to the nation in the way they have dealt with it, both before and now after. I sincerely hope they get a handle of the reactors :-(

my thoughts are with them...

if you ride a tt, you really should have a read of this...

There has been quite a bit of chatter about a new board from Shinn over the last few months, with plenty of noise through the UK forums, but on Saturday the 50th issue of Kiteworld popped though my letterbox, and in it was the following test. If you ride a twin tip regularly, then you should read it...

Re: Thoughts on the Shinn Monk...

Sorry for the late reply.. Monk is make with a majority wood core. In the 2 years I have dealt with Mark and the shinn brand we have not had a SINGLE warranty - wood is so, so strong... (I'll probably get one tomorrow, having just said that) The factory has more experience than any, and Mark knows h...

Re: Best big wave kite spot Canary Islands?

Cabezo in Medano, Tenerife. I've had some good days here; wind blown swell, technical and more consistent, it has always been a favorite of mine. Here is a shot from Tuesday's session - the waves were actually really good - well over head and clean, and this is the shortcut to the main break (you ca...

Re: 2011 Nobile 2HD vs 2010/2011 NHP

2HD = very low rocker; fast and efficient, good upwind with problems dealing with high power loadings NHP 2010/11 = very high rocker; superb control under extreme loadings but problems with early planing and upwind ability. They are infact complete opposites as far as twins go... as for suitability ...

competing and making a living through competing and promoting; prize money and sponsorship..

not having to supplement your income through other means..

...from my history in the w/s industry that's the bottom line..

Re: Were talking about Airush, Slingshot, LF, North and Shin

I don't think there will be any issues with the luigi's need for power to plane. I just got the monk in the 132x41 and am dying to ride it. I did ride the 130x40 and it planed as well if not better than my EH 134x39. The Luigi too should be amazing with the similar rocker line and I've heard nothin...

Re: Were talking about Airush, Slingshot, LF, North and Shin

I've ridden the 2011 Jamie pro, 2011 Protoy and The Luigi 2011... The Luigi II is stiff in the core, much stiffer than the JP, probably not quite as stiff as the PT, which as I remember was pretty stiff.. The tips of the luigi are very soft though, makes it feel soft, but doesn;t loose drive... The ...

Re: Shinn monk vs North jamie pro vs fonetrax

Just to let you know that the Monk has a new size soon - 132x41 - we expect these in the UK mid Dec - the first delivery sold out completely, so we are dry, my beloved 130x40 is at Kiteworld :-( Not short of rocker, the Monk does feel oddly efficient - it really does not need a lot of power, so you ...
