I think it's damn cool. It may not be right for launching a large kite on the beach (today), but it is innovative and could lead to other ideas that could advance bar/line/launching technology.

Thanks everyone for the good advice. The 5.0 was a B-day present and I am thinking of upgrading it to a 7 just to balance the quiver out. How are the conditions at Strawberry, which is supposed to be 30 min from PC?

What Kite Sizes are Ideal for Snowkiting?

Hi all,

I'm a Socal kitesurfer who has never snowkited. I have a Peter Lynn Venom II 19 and a Venom II 13. I also recently got an HQ Montana 5.0. as a present Is the 5.0 a good size for a beginner? Which kite sizes are best for places like Utah? I am about 225 pounds.

Question about Lessons

How were the lessons? Who gave them? I am going to be up in Park City for two weeks (up from Malibu) and want at least a few hours of training. Any advice?
