Re: Safety once again: what do you think about this picture?

Agree with Revhed and Peter. Doesn't look too risky to me, can't see a problem with it..

Tethering yourself to fixed objects is obviously not a good idea, but this is just someone holding on with their hands.

Great pic.

Re: Helping Kooks to identify themselves.

I Hate to tell Ya this ; but my first kite for kite boarding was purchased in 2003 . It was the first Peter Lynn, Guerilla design . I was on the Land buggy , a full ((TWO YEARS)) before i ever went in the water. If you look ; this is a Kite forum, with many different disciplines to choose from , an...

Re: Helping Kooks to identify themselves.

Was just amused by the irony. Thinking a 2004 kite is 2009 because it is still crispy and telling everyone about it on a forum is definitely kook-ish..

I've still got an old 2005 C kite myself. Don't use it much though, it's got a lot of grunt but that's about it.

Re: Helping Kooks to identify themselves.

Many Kooks don't even realize they are Kooks. I'd really like to help out all the kooks in the kiteboarding community to help identify themselves, so that further Kookiness may be prevented. I'll start the Kook characteristics list and I'm sure others will chime in. YOU ARE A KOOK IF; You buy an an...

Re: Helping Kooks to identify themselves.

Someone who joins a forum and has over 300 posts in less than a year and begins threads about identifying kooks. Do-it? Do-one... I know One thing , for sure : --Do-it-- is a shit-load " Cooler", than that ASS-((O)) with the user-name --g00se-- ! The g00se ; he has an EGO but not a fucking thing to...

Sayre's law fits well with this thread..

Re: Kite Reviews, do you read them?

I look for reviews once I've pretty much decided on what I'm looking to buy - mainly just as a sanity check to make sure I haven't missed anything obvious. Even with the ridiculous performance numbers used by marketing - you can usually get some useful info - for example if a kite has: Range - 10 De...

Re: Aaron Hadlow seizes Red Bull King of the Air Throne

Many here seem to take things to the oersonal level! Please keep in mind this is virtual, don't take it personally! Most people on here are exactly who they present themselves to be. Except Bob Marley.... the real Bob is dead, May he rest in peace. Toby really does skip the very best conditions kit...
