It is good to hear that kiteboarders are being welcomed in Aruba. I had heard that local interests had successfully lobbied for restricting kiteboarding access to certain times. Are there normally restricted times for kiteboarding in Aruba? If so at what times and places? Also what are the prime kiteboarding launches in Aruba. I have been impressed in the past with the high steady winds available in the ABC island group. It would be good to see kiteboarding undergo some sensible growth in that area.

Hi there! I visited Aruba in january this year, and got some good kiting! The wind can be very strong up to 30+ kts! The best locaction to sail is "fishermens hut", the only problem is the resriction to sail there between 10 to 17, sunset is around 1930! another spot without restriction is "boca grande", rough seas! have fun!

By the fisherman's huts kitesurfing is restricted from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. but there are three other great places to kite.
Arashi (Pretty flat with some wave coming in)
Baracadera ( Very choppy but very extreme wind, you get the chops straight ahead. Mega air time)
And Boca Grande. the most populair spot in Aruba. Good wind and a lot of waveriding and jumping.
Right now the wind is around 25 mph with gust up to 35 mph.
