F-One TT 142

Can anyone tell me about the performance of the F-one TT142.
I weight 78 kg and I ride in 15 to 25 knots with Mach1 9.1 and a Mach1 12.1

I too weigh 78kg and ride the TT-142.
This is the only board I ride.
Ride it with Toro 8m, 12m and AR5 15.5m.
It is a very friendly board. Edges great.
I also have a TT-174 but have not ridden it since getting the 142. I just do downwinders when it is light.

I think hat if you have the choice between a bigger and a smaller board, you always ride the smaller, even if you have to go upwind at the beach. But it is more fun with it, isn't it?

Let me first give a reference point ...
I've been kiting about 12-15 times.
No problem staying/going upwind when powered.
Very comfortable on the water, starting to jump some.

I got the 8m and 12m Toro's as replacements to 7.5m and 11.5m AR5's. They both came with 52cm (21") rodeo bars. Just picked them up on Friday.

I rode the 12m for about 2.5 hours Friday afternoon in Hatteras winds averaging 22-24 knots gusting to 28. I had a fixed depower strap pulled 50%.
The kite is very controllable with a steady strong pull. Less bar pressure than my AR5's. It was my best session ever. I know I would not have been out there in as much control if I was on the AR5.

I rode the 8m for 45min friday evening in slightly higher winds, 24-26 gusts to 30, mainly because I wanted to try it out. Rode on full power. Was not as powered as earlier but easily stayed up wind.

The kites fly almost identical on the same bar. They've done a great job. Never dropped the kites once and I had some pretty good crashes (jumping under the kite).

Very impressive construction. Two attachment points for the rear lines. The velcro closures for the valves is a great design.

I'm not experienced enough to say much more.
I just know the kites were a pleasure to ride and make it all easier.

Good material is sometimes a real push to became better, although you can have a lot of fun with old stuff. But more with new stuff...

Keep on riding and enjoy yourself!

Don't forget to fly the kite forward before landing. A good help: watch the kite while
jumping and you will notice yourself, what you did wrong.
