two days ago I tried the Naish X2 10.0 in winds from 5-7 Beaufort.
I trimmed it front: outisde, back: inside.
Wow, it really kicked me out so high and long, it was unbelievable.
Several times 10m high, and even more (can't say exactly how high)
I was flying and had such a long hangtime (maybe 5-6 seconds).
I always landed so smooth, it was wonderful.
The lift and the hangtime are so great, I couldn't stop smiling.
Whoever has the chance to test it, go for it.
The X2's are great kites.
Interesting will be the bigger sizes, if they are really faster than last years ARX and if they perform the same way. But what I've heard they perform like the sizes I tested: faster, higher nad longer.

hello every body
Toby have you aver tried takoon kites (skoop). I'm from france and a lot of people said that they were the best kites for hang time and fast riding. What do you think about it?

Hi Toby
If You like X2(big airs and soft landings)You better try SKOOP(TAKOON KITES)They make the rest miles away from their performance.

A friend of mine told me about the Skoop 8.5
He tested it and bigger sizes of it.
In his opinion the 8.5 is better compared to the other sizes and other kites.
He loved the perfomance of the Skoop, as you said: big airs and soft landings.
He also tried the X2 12.0 and liked it very much as well.
In his opinion both kites are about the same. So if you want a choice to Naish, Takoon is on its way....

The Mach1 is a very good kite as well.
I tried the 15.1 and liked it, since it was fast. But the sizes and its power can't be compared to kites with the same size.
So a 15.1 is more like a 13m kite and the 12.1 more like a 10. Therefore you can have a big range towards the high ends.
A direct comparison to other kites I can't say, since I need to test it more compared to others and different sizes.

Nico, do the guys in France use the 8.5 without bridles? That's what the guy told me to do for more fun?!

hello every body.
I have some problems to translate my thinkings. Be cool with it.
Concerning the skoop kites which I ride too, some people use bridles but not everybody. For me I use them with 10.5 and I ride without bridles with the shorter kites to have good feeling during loops without watching the kite. One of my friends rides with them on every kites (10.5,8.5,6.5)and he loves. I think it depends your feeling. I prefer the bridles for big kites because it's more easy to maneuver in lulls.
I like these kites. Good wind

Hi to everyone,

I heard that a Wipika rider with an old Airblast 11.8 2001 recently won a hangtime competition. So what's the best boosting kite..??

I'm riding Fone Mach1 now and think they are really great. Like them much better than the airblasts 2001. The 15.1 can be compared with Rhino 16. Not with a 13 m kite!! I can ride the Mach1 15.1 earlier than the airblast 11.8 (16m2) and round about the same moment as people with the Rhino 16 can start. But the high end is much better.

if you get a gust, any kite jumps higher and longer!

The AB 2001 wasn't a bad kite, but IMO the 2002 kites have been imroved regarding lift, hangtime and turning speed.

I noticed that the X2 jumps higher and stays up longer then my former ARX.
I never came down softer before.
But other brands developed further as well or are new on the market with a great kite too!

IMo the Rhino 16 has more power than the Mach1 15. But the Mach1 is faster, so maybe that's why it starts as early as the 16, but the Rhino has more power at the same time.
In higher winds the Rhino develops too much pressure than the Mach1. So the Mach1 is more an allrounder than the Rhino.
But I have to admit, that I didn't test the kites on the same day and same conditions. Maybe the result would have been different.

But that's a personal opinion, so whoever tested both kites is more than welcome to state their opinion as well.

Toby
