I rode on every size except 6. I like them very much. They are very stable on air. AR its slighly lower so they more intermediate kites. I like also bar with punch out. Lift and hangtime is ok. No jellyfish at all. Water relaunch is very good i even relaunch size 21 at 8 knots! But they dont drop often. Construction is simple but very good materials and very durable. Only complains i have is about backstop ventils in bladder. It is slightly difficult to deflate them.
I fly before naish arx, airush lift, f-one nach one, north rhino1

Yeah I love them. Flown every Size except the 21M. The Size 6 is Super fast because it's so small and develops an unbelievable amount of power because of this. High wind use only. I was totally taken by suprise by this kite. Bar is great. Tom tom has a good point about the valves. They can be a bit annoying to deflate.
Not as fast turning as some of its equivalent sizes tho but they give good feedback thro the bar so yo'll have a general idea of how the kite is flying without constantly having to keep an eye on it

They come with a kick ass expandable bag that easily kicks all the competitors bags to the gutter.

If you need more info etc, send me a PM and I'll let you know,

Cheers,

THANKS FOR THE OPINION.

ARE THEY COOL ENOUGH?
WHAT ABOUT THE OUTLAW BOARD? DID YOU EVER RIDE ONE?

Yeah Outlaw Good Board. I have the 142 version. Flexible and thin. A Bit heavier than other boards of it's size but to be honest I've never even noticed that it matterd if a board is a tiny bit heavier. Good solid Construction with nice footstraps and pads. And it soaks up chop like no other board i've been on. Sweet.

I can they compare with kite what i metioned up. Compare to arx generaly better - less steering forces faster turning much durable construction - but arx is 2001 kite. Compare to rhino 1 - very similar AR and behavior, OR flying (IMO) more on fronlines so it has less backline tension and less arm stress (i dont use fix line). I think OR Bronco has better depower like Rhino 1. Overal they are very good kites. I think there is big different bettween bad kite and good kite but little different between good and super hype kite. I buy they and im satisfied. No super hype (but until now i dont fly super hype kite). What i like about bronco - we have gusty wind - and when lull come bronco only gentle fall back and then fly up again. Some kite in lull overfly and hinderburg i hate that kite. About jumping they have similar or better performance that others.

Regarding boards
They are completly different than most other boards (unlike kites)
They are very flexible (exact like snowboard) and footstrap are definitly by far best of all i try. I stop using board leash becouse off this strap they are more binding than straps (in good sense). This boards are great for chop and edge very well.
Downside becouse flex - they are not as fast. It is more problem with bigger one becouse you from bigger board i want speed and planing performance and than edging and grip. On other hand it is very easy to get upwind and you never will be overpowered. I once switch when wind pick up 150 cm board to 174 OR dorado - because i have much better control with OR board. With smaller one speed is not problem - they have flatter rocker and is narrow so fast enough.

Overal great board for difficult condition (chop - gusty wind) and for people who like riding overpowered

I ride the Outlaw 142 and love it...... it's my first and only board so far, so I can't really compare it to anything. But at the same time I watch the guys i ride with on their larger directionals...... I think the outlaw performs way better. My only complaint is that the straps are one size only, and if you wear booties..... it's a bitch to get your feet in, so definatly no board off tricks while i got my booties on..... but it'll be a while before that happens anyway ;) I also just ordered the Bronco 16m with bar... it should be here tomorrow or the next day, so hopefully i can get out and fly it, then i'll tell you more. O, currently i ride the outlaw with a PL 840.

I didnt see any brand make more than one size. OR has very anatomic moulded footpad - so perfect with bare foot but problem with booties. But there is no better - strap footpads for barefoot (at least what i try - and i try many) I have very big foot also (US 15) and i will use scuba neo socks when it will be colder. I hate booties - no direct feeling. Most of local kiters use scuba neo socks instead booties. It will last less because - no hard rabbet but their are also much cheeper.

Anyway people with smaller (normal) feet will not has problem with booties.

Sweet kites the Broncos.
I have flown the 9m in 28 - 35 knots, and had a most fabulous time. That little bugger is fast as hell, but hey, in those conditions any little kite is. I got fantastic jumps out of it, but what was really nice and comfy was the little bar. It is so small, almost like a wake board / ski handle.... Even though the little bugger was as fast as hell, it was still extremely stable in gusts, and it was gusting up to 35, I checked the windspeed readings for that day, and time later on.

The 12m I use the most, from 16 - 25knots, and really eenjoy it as well. I like the stability, and speed, especially with such a small bar... It always amazes me.

The 16m I have only used once. The wind started at around 12 and I could cruise, plow through the surf, and do some nice jumps, staying upwind easily on a TX156 from Loose. Slowly the wind picked up and the jumps got loftier and loftier. At around 17 / 18 knots I started pulling the trimmer a bit, and at around 20 was still having fun, although was a bit overpowered. I like overpowered.

Overall the lower aspect ratio does not play a role for me. I am no pro, but I have almost 3 years of experience and consider myself a good kiter, and honestly, I cant tell if it is faster or slower than the AB8.4 which I used my first 2 years (2001 and 2002 2nd edition kite), Skoop 8.5, RhinoII 12, and Caution 12m. I liked one of the above posts about the actual lack of difference between the "hyped" kites and the less "hyped" kites... I agree 100%. I could not have said it better...
The stability on all sizes is fantastic. Gust are absorbed extremely well.
Water relaunch... sorry have not had the necessity to do this yet.
Build: Toughest thing I have ever seen, and I mean it. Put all your X3s and RhinoIIs and whatever you want next to the Bronco... and you will notice the difference. Mostly little things, like seams, stitching and valves. Yes they are a bit more difficult to deflate, but they are tougher than scotch bright! Also the main tube has a release valve, so you need not worry about that.
The bar, needs no talking about, it won awards, and it is simply beautiful, comfortable and works well.
The Punch Out QR system works excellently!!! I think this is the safest QR available today.
My only complaint is the leash. Don't like it, and will need to make myself a rotating leash as soon as I can. Unless OR makes one for me first...:greenlaugh:

Try one, you will not be disapointed

Ciao
