i have used my x3 14 and 20 a couple of days
and my destinct feeling is that the 14 gives you more airtime,
not a very big difference, but enough to notice .
this is noticed especially when the kite is tuned to max speed and power
with about equal power in all lines.
When it comes to the 20 i am not quite sure yet
i used my 20 most of all kites last year
and x3 is definetly different, i just cant find the right words yet.
but it flies different
maybe a slight wobble in the jumps
but the glide is longer
it has more power
but i cant say if i goes as far out to the edge of the window
but i was tuned for power not depower.
i had big relaunch problems with the 20
and i have now rigged a fifth line after a long swim monday

best regards

I am thinking about the same Combination I already have x3 14 and x2 18 but I really would like to have more lowend power so may be aero2 20 would be better. Do You only have 14 and 20 or also something in between? Let me kow about Your tests of the 20 x3.
Thank You very much.

Ronny, was using my X3 20 yesterday all afternoon in 14 - 15 knots. Depowered the frontlines by two knots on the pigtails, normally use the very end knot moved two knots up yesterday, found the kite to be very controlled and still easy turning.

Normally I change to my X2 14 from about 14knots but had a lot of fun on the 20 yesterday. Almost learn't board off forwards, had two that I basically landed.

that would be a topic for Peter Frank:

I think the Rhino2 20 or 18 might have even more low end grunt than a X3.

But I don not know exactly, I did not have a ride with the X3 yet.

That would be a compromise:

Rhino2 20
X3 14
X3 10
...

niko :D :) :P :D

The RhinoII 20 makes you planing almost as soon as it stays in the air, it is agile the wide tips giving incredible control in low-end conditions and very fast to develop loads of power. No need for more low-end power, no idea trying to take the low-end lower than the 8-10 kts of the RII20. Depower is not the best but quite enough, 16-17 kts is max for a 80 kg rider.
