You should try Paros (the kitepro tour hosts an even there every year), Crete, Simi, or een Cyprus. Best time is the summer months when they get the strong afternoon sea breeze (meltemi).

On Rhodos, at one end of the island there is a small island, called Prasonisi, connected to the main island by a strech of sand of about 300 m wide by 1km long. On one side, you get onshore wind and small waves. On the other side superflat water with offshore wind. I was there ten years ago for windsurfing, dunno how it's evolved since then. In those days, you had to camp in the dunes but they had just started to build a hotel and recently I noticed that Hightech travel is going there. So I have no idea about crowdedness.

Hi,
I'm based in Cyprus so if anyone wants more info just let me know.
I know all the beaches here and those which are the best for kite-surfing. From now till the end of the summer it is considered as the best wind season. The pattern is usually 4-5 days with moderate to strong wind then 2-3 no/low winds etc.. with no guarantees as one would expect.
Winds are generally side/on shore with the exception of a particular beach with flat off-shore.
Regards,
Mike

Hi guys,i think the best place is Paros.Im from there and i stay all summer. There is organized kitesurf/windsurf beaches and many kitesurfers from all over the world.
Good wind(meltemia) but not at July cause usually its no wind at all.Main kite surf beaches is Xrisi akti & Pounda(there is two Poyndas, the one which is across of Antiparos island is right).
Paros is at midle of Aegan sea and all other islands are near(from half to five hours).
For any other info you can mail me at mpakos2001@yahoo.com
See you there..
